Abstract

This final project takes over the title of type B pulmonary hospital in Kuningan, West Java by using a bioclimatic concept. This is motivated by the high number of TB cases in Indonesia, especially in West Java and the provision of pulmonary health service facilities. However, the provision of health facilities or commonly referred to as hospitals spends a lot of mechanical energy in their operation so that thoughts arise about how to apply the concept of bioclimatic architecture to the planning and design of pulmonary hospitals in tropical-humid climates, especially highland areas by reducing mechanical energy consumption without reducing the comfort of hospital users. The method used is a descriptive method by analyzing the regulations as well as other literature. In addition, the planning and design of a pulmonary hospital in Kuningan uses a functional aspect approach by providing facilities and the number of beds in existing pulmonary hospitals, especially in West Java. So that the results of the planning and design of a 54-bed type B pulmonary hospital are obtained by reducing energy use using AC and increasing energy use which can increase the use of hybrid electricity networks.
