Abstract

This research conducted to know the utilization of Indonesia OneSearch (IOS) in support of access electronic resources for students in the High School of Loyola College Semarang. The method employed was a qualitative research with interview and observation for the data collection. There were six informants, consisting of students, librarian and teacher of High School of Loyola College Semarang. The data collected then analysed by using thematic analysis. This is an analysis technique to identify patterns of the phenomenon being studied. Eight themes were found based on the analysis. The themes are education of IOS utilization, understanding of design and layout IOS, effectiveness and efficiency in the utilization of IOS, legitimacy of information sources, error and solution, type of information source, process of information resource access, network and library collaboration. The findings showed that IOS was used by students in the High School of Loyola College Semarang to access electronic resources, especially to support the completion of the work of literary (scientific work), presentation assignments, discussion, debate, and hobbies.
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan Indonesia OneSearch (IOS) dalam mendukung akses sumber informasi elektronik bagi siswa di SMA Kolese Loyola Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif. Metode pengambilan data yang dilakukan yaitu wawancara dan observasi. Jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 6 orang, terdiri dari siswa, pustakawan dan guru SMA Kolese Loyola Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan thematic analysis dalam analisa data. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan 8 tema analisis yaitu edukasi pemanfaatan IOS, pemahaman desain dan layout IOS, efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam pemanfaatan IOS, keabsahan sumber informasi yang diakses melalui IOS, eror dan solusi dalam akses sumber informasi, jenis sumber informasi yang dimanfaatkan oleh siswa melalui IOS, proses akses sumber informasi, serta jaringan dan kerjasama perpustakaan oleh perpustakaan SMA Kolese Loyola Semarang. Simpulan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa SMA Kolese Loyola Semarang memanfaatkan IOS sebagai sarana akses sumber informasi elektronik, terutama untuk mendukung penyelesaian tugas karya sastra (karya ilmiah), tugas presentasi, diskusi, debat, dan hobi.
