Abstract

The current development of web-based applications has made Diponegoro
University develop its electronic resources so that it can be used by the entire
academic community. Diponegoro University has provided EZproxy on Single Sign
On (SSO) to access information in the form of electronic journals, as a support for
learning and research activities for Diponegoro University students which can be
done anywhere and anytime only through the network provided. The purpose of this
study is to measure to what extent and to what extent is the level of effectiveness of
using EZproxy on Single Sign On (SSO) in accessing electronic journals for Library
Science students of Diponegoro University Semarang. The research method used is
quantitative by using a sample of 80 respondents obtained using purposive
sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistical analysis.
The results of this study indicate the effectiveness of EZproxy in the Single Sign On
(SSO) service in accessing electronic journals obtained based on the indicators of
perceived ease of use resulting in a mean of 82.64% which is in the very effective
category; the perceived usefulness indicator produces the highest mean with a
value of 83.80% which is in the very effective category; the behavioral intention to
use indicator resulted in a mean of 79.89% which was included in the effective
category; the actual system use indicator produces the lowest mean with a value of
74.7% which is included in the effective category. The results of the calculation of
the mean value for all 35 statement items obtained a value of 81.25% which can be
interpreted as strong and effective. So it can be concluded that EZproxy on Undip's
E-Journal Single Sign On (SSO) Service in accessing electronic journals has
reached an effective level.
Perkembangan aplikasi berbasis web yang terjadi saat ini menjadikan Universitas
Diponegoro mengembangkan sumber daya elektronik yang dimiliki agar dapat
digunakan oleh seluruh sivitas akademika. Universitas Diponegoro telah
menyediakan EZproxy pada Single Sign On (SSO) untuk mengakses informasi
berupa jurnal elektronik, sebagai pendukung kegiatan pembelajaran dan penelitian
bagi mahasiswa Universitas Diponegoro yang dapat dilakukan dimana pun dan
kapan pun dengan hanya melalui jaringan yang telah disediakan.Tujuan penelitian
ini adalah mengukur seberapa besar tingkat efektivitas penggunaan EZproxy pada
Single Sign On (SSO) dalam mengakses jurnal elektronik bagi mahasiswa Ilmu
Perpustakaan Universitas Diponegoro Semarang. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 80 responden
yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data
dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian
ini menunjukkan efektivitas EZproxy pada layanan E-Journal Single Sign On
(SSO) dalam mengakses jurnal elektronik yang diperoleh berdasarkan indikator
perceived ease of use menghasilkan mean sebesar 82,64% yang masuk kategori
sangat efektif; indikator perceived usefulness menghasilkan mean tertinggi dengan
nilai sebesar 83,80% yang masuk kategori sangat efektif; indikator behavioral
intention to use menghasilkan mean sebesar 79,89% yang masuk kategori efektif;
indikator actual system use menghasilkan mean terendah dengan nilai sebesar
74,7% yang masuk kategori efektif. Hasil dari perhitungan nilai mean pada
keseluruhan 35 item pernyataan diperoleh nilai sebesar 81,25% yang dapat diartikan
sangat efektif. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa EZproxy pada layanan E-Journal
Single Sign On (SSO) Undip dalam mengakses jurnal elektronik sudah mencapai
tingkat efektif.
