Abstract

This study discusses the perception of the iSantri application by the santri from the Kyai Galang
Sewu Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to determine the perception of the iSantri
application at the Kyai Galang Sewu Islamic Boarding School. The research method used in this
research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The data collection techniques used
were observation, interviews, and document study. The results of this study indicate that the
perception of the iSantri application is well received by the santri to increase their knowledge of
Islam, make it easier to interpret Islamic religious books, get additional references for
interpretation and complete the meaning of Islamic religious books, and also as an alternative
source of learning at the Kyai Galang Sewu Islamic Boarding School. The stages of accepting the
iSantri application are based on the use of the iSantri application by the santri of the Kyai Galang
Sewu Islamic Boarding School who use the iSantri application as a medium to support learning
process. The iSantri application provides easy access without having to wait so long to get
information on Islamic religious books. The usefulness and ease of access to the iSantri
application encourages the emergence of the intention and attitude of santri to continue using the
iSantri application. Even so, the santri still experience various obstacles when accessing the
iSantri application. The problem in accessing the iSantri application occurs when the smartphone
memory used has a minimum capacity. Access to the iSantri application also often experiences
problems when used in weak internet signal conditions. Some santri also conveyed the lack of
Bahasa Indonesia translated islamic religious collection books from iSantri . On the other hand, it
was also found that there were the santri who had not used the iSantri application stating that the
reason for not using the iSantri application was because they did not know or receive information
regarding the existence of the iSantri application.
Penelitian ini membahas persepsi santri Pondok Pesantren Kyai Galang Sewu pada aplikasi
iSantri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Persepsi Santri Pondok Pesantren Kyai Galang
Sewu pada Aplikasi iSantri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode
jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data
yang dilakukan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa persepsi aplikasi iSantri diterima baik oleh para santri untuk menambah
pengetahuan tentang agama Islam, mempermudah memaknai kitab, mendapatkan tambahan
referensi untuk tafsahi, melengkapi arti kitab yang masih kosong, serta sebagai alternatif sumber
belajar yang menunjang pembelajaran di Pondok Pesantren Kyai Galang Sewu. Tahapan persepsi
aplikasi iSantri didasari atas pemanfaatan aplikasi iSantri oleh santri Pondok Pesantren Kyai
Galang Sewu yang menggunakan aplikasi iSantri sebagai media untuk menunjang pembelajaran.
Aplikasi iSantri memberikan kemudahan akses tanpa harus menunggu lama untuk mendapatkan
informasi kitab agama Islam. Kebermanfaatan serta kemudahan akses aplikasi iSantri mendorong
munculnya niat dan sikap santri untuk terus menggunakan aplikasi iSantri. Meskipun demikian,
berbagai kendala masih dialami para santri saat mengakses aplikasi iSantri. Kendala dalam
mengakses aplikasi iSantri terjadi saat memori smartphone yang digunakan memiliki kapasitas
yang minim. Akses aplikasi iSantri juga sering mengalami kendala saat digunakan pada kondisi
sinyal internet yang lemah. Beberapa santri juga menyampaikan kurangnya jenis koleksi berupa
kitab terjemahan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Di lain sisi, juga ditemukan bahwa terdapat santri yang
belum menggunakan aplikasi iSantri menyatakan bahwa penyebab belum menggunakan aplikasi
iSantri adalah karena belum mengenal atau menerima informasi terkait keberadaan aplikasi
iSantri.
