Abstract

PDDI-LIPI developed the National Scientific Repository (RIN) as a management
system for primary data management and scientific work at LIPI based on the
needs of researchers to store, preserve, and share research data. The purpose of
this study was to determine and identify the influence of the use of the National
Scientific Repository (RIN) on the data preservation need of researchers at LIPI
Cibinong Science Center. The research method used in this study is a quantitative
method with data collection using observation and questionnaires. The samples
used in this study were 81 informants taken from four research centers at LIPI
Cibinong Science Center. Analysis of the data used are descriptive analysis,
simple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis
testing. The calculation of the data in this study were assisted using SPSS version
25. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the yse of the
National Scientific Repository (RIN) which can be explained by 13.7% of the data
preservation needs of researchers and has a significant effect, meaning that it
cannot be ignored and mus be considered to exist because every time the is an
addition of 1 value of the use of the National Scientific Repository (RIN), then the
value of the need for data preservation increases by 0.265.
PDDI-LIPI mengembangkan Repositori Ilmiah Nasional (RIN) sebagai sistem
manajemen pengelolaan data primer maupun karya ilmiah di LIPI dengan dasar atas
kebutuhan peneliti untuk menyimpan, mempreservasi, dan berbagi data penelitian.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi sejauh mana
pengaruh pemanfaatan Repositori Ilmiah Nasional (RIN) terhadap kebutuhan
preservasi data peneliti di LIPI Cibinong Science Center. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan
observasi dan kuesioner. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 81
informan yang diambil dari empat pusat penelitian di LIPI Cibinong Science Center.
Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deksriptif, analisis regresi linear
sederhana, koefisien determinasi dan uji hipotesis. Perhitungan data dalam penelitian
ini dibantu oleh aplikasi SPSS 25. Data yang diperoleh adalah data primer yang
didapatkan dari jawaban informan atas kuesioner yang disebarkan. Hasil penelitian
ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemanfaatan Repositori Ilmiah Nasional
(RIN) dapat dijelaskan sebesar 13.7% terhadap kebutuhan preservasi data peneliti dan
memiliki pengaruh signifikan artinya tidak dapat diabaikan dan harus dianggap ada
karena setiap adanya penambahan 1 nilai pemanfaatan Repositori Ilmiah Nasional
(RIN), maka nilai kebutuhan preservasi data bertambah sebesar 0.256.
