Abstract

Sebuahperpustakaantidakakanberkembangapabilatidakdikelolaseorangpustakawan.
Seorangpustakawansangatpentingbagiperpustakaangunauntukmeningkatminatkunjungperpust
akaandanmeningkatkankualitasperpustakaan yang
lebihberkembang.Makadariituperanpustakawansangatpenting di
perpustakaanuntukmendorongmeningkatminatkunjungsiswakeperpustakaan.
Judul penelitian ini adalah “Peran Pustakawan MTs N 1 Jepara Dalam Upaya
Mengembangkan Minat Kunjungan Siswa Pada Perpustakaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah
untuk mengetahuiperan pustakawanMTs N 1 Jepara dalam Upaya Mengembangkan Minat
Kunjungan Siswa Pada Perpustakaan MTs N 1 Jepara. Metode yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuatitatif, dengan metode pengumpulan data
observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwapustakawan
memberikanapresiasikepadaparasiswaberupahadiahbukubacaan yang diberikandalam tempo
waktu 6 bulansekalipadasaatsetelahujian semester selesai.
Pustakawanmenyediakanperangkatkomputer yang terhubungdenganjaringan internet
gunamenarikminatkunjungsiswakeperpustakaan, pustakawanmenyediakanruangbaca yang
cukupluasdalambentuklesehan yang bertujuan agar siswalebihleluasamembaca di
ruangbacatersebut.Semuaituadalahbentukdorongandaripustakawanuntukmenariksiswa agar
lebihgiatberkunjungkeperpustakaan
library will not develop if it is not managed by a librarian. A librarian is very important for
the library in order to increase interest in visiting the library and improve the quality of the
library that is more developed. Therefore the role of the librarian is very important in the
library to encourage increased student interest in visiting the library.
The title of this research is "The Role of Librarians MTs N 1 Jepara in Efforts to Develop
Students' Interest in Visiting Libraries. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of
librarians of MTs N 1 Jepara in Efforts to Develop Students' Interest in Visiting Jepara's MTs
N 1 Library. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method, with data
collection methods of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study
stated that the librarian gave appreciation to the students in the form of book reading prizes
which were given within 6 months after the semester exams were finished. Librarians provide
computer devices that are connected to the internet to attract students to visit the library,
librarians provide ample reading space in the form of lesions aimed at making students more
free to read in the reading room. All of that is a form of encouragement from librarians to
attract students to be more active in visiting the library.
