Abstract

This thesis entitled "Analysis of Archive Employee Competence in Managing Inactive
Archives in High Court of Central Java". This study aims to find out how competence
of archives employee or archive officer in managing inactive archives. The
methodological research used is qualitative method. Meanwhile, type of this
research is descriptive research. The techniques of this reasearchare observation,
interview, and documentation study. Technical analysis of qualitative data in this
study include data reduction, data presentation, data triangulation, and conclusion.
The conclusions of this research are employees at the High Court of Central Java in
managing the inactive archives starting from the receipt of the archives, the making
of the official report, the signature of the approval of the party who submitted the
archive of the archive unit, archive storage, and the archive service that those have
been running well in accordance with Archival legislation based on the competence
of archivist employee in High Court of Central Java. the competence of the employee
are professional competence, social competence, and personality competence that
shows a positive thing. Compliance of competence is also supported from
triangulation of data conducted by interviewing Head of Sub Division General in
High Court of Central Java.

Skripsi ini berjudul “Analisis Kompetensi Pegawai Kearsipan Dalam Melakukan
Pengelolaan Arsip Inaktif di Kejaksaan Tinggi Jawa Tengah”. Tujuan penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kompetensi yang dimiliki pegawai kearsipan
atau petugas arsip dalam melakukan pengelolaan arsip inaktif. Metode Penelitian
yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian
deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara,
dan studi dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data kualitatif dalam penelitian ini meliputi
reduksi data, penyajian data, triangulasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Simpulan
dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu pegawai kearsipan di Kejaksaan Tinggi Jawa Tengah
dalam melakukan pengelolaan arsip inaktif dimulai dari penerimaan arsip, pembuatan
berita acara, tanda tangan persetujuan pihak yang menyerahkan arsip dari unit
kearsipan, penyimpanan arsip, serta pelayanan arsip sudah berjalan dengan baik
sesuai dengan Undang-undang kearsipan berdasarkan kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh
pegawai kearsipan di Kejaksaan Tinggi Jawa Tengah yaitu kompetensi professional,
kompetensi sosial, dan kompetensi kepribadian menunjukan hal yang positif.
Kesesuaian kompetensi tersebut juga didukung dari triangulasi data yang dilakukan
dengan mewawancarai Kepala Sub Bagian Umum di Kejaksaan Tinggi Jawa Tengah.
