Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengembangan Koleksi Grey Literature di Perpustakaan
Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Diponegoro Semarang”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengekplorasi bagaimana pengembangan koleksi grey literature di
Perpustakaan Fakultas Psikologi Undip. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian
deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan
adalah observasi, studi kepustakaan, penelusuran data online (internet searching),
dokumentasi, dan wawancara semi terstruktur dengan memilih tiga informan yang
memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan untuk memperoleh sumber data utama
dan data lain yang selanjutnya dilakukan triangulasi. Analisis data yang
digunakan adalah analisis interaktif dengan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian
data, menarik kesimpulan dan memverifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini
menunjukan bahwa pelaksanaan pengembangan koleksi grey literature di
Perpustakaan Fakultas Psikologi Undip mengacu pada visi dan misi fakultas dan
SOP yang berlaku. Pengembangan koleksi grey literature di Perpustakaan
Fakultas Psikologi Undip meliputi tiga kegiatan yaitu seleksi, pengadaan, dan
penyiangan. Seleksi; koleksi grey literature yang sudah disetujui atau disahkan
dengan tanda tangan bermeterai. Pengadaan; koleksi grey literature Perpustakaan
Fakultas Psikologi Undip diperoleh dari hasil wajib simpan karya ilmiah
mahasiswa dan sumbangan atau hadiah dari para dosen Psikologi Undip yang
telah menyelesaikan program S2 dan S3 mereka di kampus lain.
Penyiangan;Perpustakaan Fakultas Psikologi Undip melakukan penyiangan
terhadap koleksi grey literaturenya dengan cara pengecekan kembali dan
penarikan koleksi yang sudah berumur di atas lima tahun. Adapun koleksi grey
literature yang rusak juga ditarik dari rak koleksi untuk dilakukan perbaikan.
Dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas layanan koleksi grey literature, Perpustakaan
Fakultas Psikologi Undip juga melakukan pengembangan koleksi grey literature
berbasis elektronik yaitu melalui website perpustakaan online, layanan Jurnal
Psikologi dan jurnal Empati. Perpustakaan Psikologi Undip juga bekerja sama
dengan repository Undip untuk kegiatan publikasi karya ilmiah fakultas. Kendala
dalam pengembangan koleksi grey literature di Perpustakaan Fakultas Psikologi
Undip meliputi tidak adanya kebijakan yang jelas terkait dengan pengembangan
koleksi grey literature, belum adanya struktur organisasi perpustakaan, SDM dan
fasilitas serta jaringan yang masih belum memadai untuk mendukung
pengembangan koleksi grey literature di perpustakaan.
This research is entitled "Development of Gray Literature Collection at the
Library of the Faculty of Psychology, Diponegoro University, Semarang". The
purpose of this study was to explore how the development of the gray literature
collection in the Undip Psychology Faculty Library. The method used is
descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques
used were observation, literature study, online data searching (internet
searching), documentation, and semi-structured interviews by selecting three
informants who met the predetermined criteria to obtain the main data source and
other data which was then triangulated. The data analysis used is interactive
analysis by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and verifying.
The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the development of the
gray literature collection at the Undip Psychology Faculty Library refers to the
vision and mission of the faculty and applicable SOP. The development of the
gray literature collection at the Undip Psychology Faculty Library includes three
activities, namely selection, procurement, and weeding. Selection; a collection of
gray literature that has been approved or endorsed with a stamped signature.
Procurement; the gray literature collection of the Undip Psychology Faculty
Library was obtained from the results of the mandatory saving of student
scientific works and donations or gifts from Undip Psychology lecturers who had
completed their master's and doctoral programs at other campuses. Weeding; The
Undip Psychology Faculty Library carries out weeding of its gray literature
collection by re-checking and withdrawing collections that are over five years old.
The collection of damaged gray literature was also pulled from the collection
shelf for repairs. In an effort to improve the quality of gray literature collection
services, the Undip Faculty of Psychology Library also develops electronic-based
gray literature collections, namely through online library websites, Psychology
Journal services and Empathy journals. The Undip Psychology Library also
collaborates with the Undip repository for the publication of faculty scientific
works. Obstacles in the development of gray literature collections at the Undip
Psychology Faculty Library include the absence of clear policies related to the
development of gray literature collections, the absence of a library organizational
structure, human resources and facilities and networks that are still inadequate to
support the development of gray literature collections in libraries.
