Abstract

This research discusses the preservation of local wisdom in the local content of
Pararaton manuscript which is represented in novel Arok Dedes. It is to
understanding and analyze the preservation of local wisdom values inside novel
Arok Dedes representation. The method used in this research is qualitative, with
discourse analysis as a data analysis method. . Its results showed that Arok Dedes
novel is a new document production from an old document, Pararaton
manuscript. The activity document production from Pararaton manuscript to the
novel Arok Dedes is an effort to preserve the local content in Pararaton
manuscript, because it considers the tastes of global society. The process of
preservation local tontent in Pararaton manuscript showed several stages, the
stages is recognition and identification, validation, recording and documentation,
storage, transfer, and dessimination. Through the local content preservation
stage, the value of local wisdom which is implicit of moral messages in Pararaton
manuscript can be described in novel Arok Dedes, so the wisdom values with
implicit of moral messages in Ken Arok and Ken Dedes folklore can be sustained
from generation to generation.

Penelitian ini membahas preservasi kearifan lokal pada local content naskah
Pararaton yang direpresentasikan dalam novel Arok Dedes. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk memahami dan menganalisis preservasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal
pada local content naskah Pararaton dalam representasi novel Arok Dedes.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ialah kualitatif, dengan metode
analisis data menggunakan analisis wacana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan
bahwa novel Arok Dedes merupakan produksi dokumen baru dari dokumen lama,
yaitu naskah Pararaton. Kegiatan produksi dokumen dari naskah Pararaton ke
novel Arok Dedes merupakan upaya kegiatan preservasi local content yang ada
pada naskah Pararaton dengan mempertimbangkan selera masyarakat masa kini.
Proses preservasi local content pada naskah Pararaton melewati beberapa
tahapan, yaitu recognition and identification, validation, recording and
documentation, storage, transfer, and dessimination. Melalui tahapan preservasi
local content, maka nilai kearifan lokal yang sarat akan pesan moral pada naskah
Pararaton dapat digambarkan dalam novel Arok Dedes, sehingga nilai kearifan
yang sarat akan pesan moral dalam cerita rakyat Ken Arok dan Ken Dedes dapat
lestri dari generasi ke generasi.
