Abstract

This thesis is entitled "Persepsi Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas
Diponegoro terhadap Vandalisme di Perpustakaan melalui Film Pendek BOOK".
This study aims to determine the perceptions of FIB Undip students on vandalism
in the library through the short film BOOK. This study used qualitative research
methods. Methods and data collection techniques used are direct interviews and
questionnaires. The informants in this study used saturated sampling and obtained
16 informants who participated in this study. The collected data were then analyzed
using data reduction. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a
change in the perception of FIB Undip students towards vandalism in the library
through the short film BOOK. Changes in the perceptions of FIB Undip students
started from the object, namely the short film BOOK which caused a stimulus. Then
there was a physical process, namely a stimulus to the senses of the Undip Faculty
of Arts students. The sense organs in this case are the senses of sight and hearing.
Furthermore, there is a physiological process, namely the process of combining,
interpreting, and finally providing an assessment of the stimulus received by Undip
FIB students. The final result in this process is a psychological process, namely the
emergence of awareness of FIB Undip students against vandalism in the library.
This change in perception can be seen from FIB Undip students who have become
more aware of the importance of maintaining and maintaining collections in the
library, one of which is books, so that the information contained in them can be
maintained at any time.

Skripsi ini berjudul “Persepsi Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Universitas
Diponegoro terhadap Vandalisme di Perpustakaan Melalui Film Pendek BOOK”.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa FIB Undip terhadap
vandalisme di perpustakaan melalui film pendek BOOK. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode dan teknik pengambilan data
yang dilakukan adalah wawancara secara langsung dan kuesioner. Informan dalam
penelitian ini menggunakan sampling jenuh dan didapatkan 16 informan yang
berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis
dengan menggunakan reduksi data. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terjadi
perubahan persepsi mahasiswa FIB Undip terhadap vandalisme di perpustakaan
melalui film pendek BOOK. Perubahan persepsi mahasiswa FIB Undip dimulai dari
objek yaitu film pendek BOOK yang menimbulkan stimulus. Kemudian terjadi
proses fisik yaitu stimulus mengenai alat indera mahasiswa FIB Undip. Alat indera
dalam hal ini adalah indera penglihatan dan pendengaran. Selanjutnya terjadi proses
fisiologis yaitu proses menggabungkan, menginterpretasikan, dan akhirnya
memberikan penilaian terhadap stimulus yang diterima oleh mahasiswa FIB Undip.
Hasil akhir dalam proses ini adalah proses psikologis yaitu timbulnya kesadaran
mahasiswa FIB Undip terhadap vandalisme di perpustakaan. Perubahan persepsi
ini dapat dilihat dari mahasiswa FIB Undip yang menjadi lebih menyadari
pentingnya menjaga dan merawat koleksi di perpustakaan salah satunya buku, agar
informasi yang ada di dalamnya dapat tetap terjaga sampai kapanpun.
