Abstract

The study entitled The Contribution of Archives in the Process of Determining the Protection of Geographical Indications for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of Salak Pondoh in Sleman Regency was conducted to determine the contribution of archives in the process of determining the geographical indication of intellectual property rights (IPR) of salak pondoh for the KPIG-SP community in Sleman Regency . This type of research used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used were semi-structured interviews. There were four informants who were interviewed. The analytical method used in this study is thematic analysis. Registration of intellectual property rights of Sleman salak pondoh geographical indication is the first registration of geographical indication products in Sleman Regency. The results showed that the contribution of the archive as one source of information becomes an important thing, because every result of work activities carried out will be a reference for the fulfillment of further requirements, and this will also be considered in the future to deal with problems that arise as a result from the process of the activity itself. The dynamic archives at KPIG-SPS are mostly in the form of paper, the unavailability of dynamic records when needed for the process of filing IPR protection will have an impact including the process of filing IPR protection for a long geographical indication. Dynamic archives are created from the process of fulfilling geographical indication requirements. The creation of this archive needs to involve the existence of institutions and human resources in the appropriate field. The contribution of the archive also plays a role in the sustainability of the maintenance of decision making in the future.

Penelitian dengan judul Kontribusi Arsip dalam Proses Penentuan Perlindungan Indikasi Geografis Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) Salak Pondoh di Kabupaten Sleman ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kontribusi arsip dalam proses penentuan perlindungan indikasi geografis hak kekayaan intelektual (HKI) salak pondoh bagi komunitas KPIG-SP di Kabupaten Sleman. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu wawancara semi terstruktur.Informan yang telah diwawancarai terdapat empat orang.Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis tematik (thematic analysis).Pendaftaran hak kekayaan intelektual indikasi geografis salak pondoh Sleman adalah pendaftaran pertama produk indikasi geografis di Kabupaten Sleman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi arsip sebagai salah satu sumber informasi menjadi suatu hal yang penting, karena setiap hasil kegiatan kerja yang dilakukan akan menjadi acuan untuk proses pemenuhan syarat selanjutnya, dan hal ini juga akan menjadi pertimbangan dimasa yang akan datang untuk mengahadapi masalah yang muncul akibat dari proses kegiatan itu sendiri. Arsip dinamis di KPIG-SPS sebagian besar berbentuk kertas, tidak tersedianya arsip dinamis saat diperlukan untuk proses pengajuan perlindungan perlindungan HKI akan memiliki dampak diantaranya proses pengajuan perlindungan HKI indikasi geografis berlangsung lama. Arsip dinamis tercipta dari proses pemenuhan syarat indikasi geografis. Penciptaan arsip ini perlu melibatkan adanya lembaga dan sumber daya manusia yang sesuai bidang. Kontribusi arsip juga berperan dalam keberlanjutan pemeliharaan pengambilan keputusan di masa yang akan datang.
