Abstract

School is one of the developmental tasks from childhood to early adulthood. There are several choices of schools, one of which is the Assalaam Modern Islamic Boarding School which was established on August 7, 1982. This study aims to determine the adjustment of takhassus students to the regulations of the Assalaam Modern Islamic Boarding School.
The approach used for this research is qualitative with phenomenological method and using Individual Phenomenological Description (DFI) analysis technique. The subjects used in this study were four students of Takhassus who were selected using the accidental sampling method. Methods of data collection by using interviews.
The findings of this study are. All subjects experienced problems such as being shocked and tired of the cottage rules, shocked by the OPPMIA regulations, having difficulty dealing with habits at the cottage, not being comfortable with the cottage environment, having difficulty in dealing with lessons and having problems with friends. However, even so, the female students decided to continue their education at PPMI Assalaam because all subjects had the motivation to want to make both parents happy and this was the desire of both parents of all subjects. For PPMI Assalaam regulations, there were two subjects who were shocked by the contents of the regulations, while one subject was surprised to see that the implementers of the PPMIA regulations were OPPMIA not Ustad/Ustadzah directly and one subject was not surprised because they had known through explanations. from a male cousin, alumni of PPMI Assalaam. When the subject enters PPMI Assalaam, the subject will experience autoplastic adjustment, namely an adjustment that changes itself according to the subject's environmental conditions.
