Abstract

Pembangunan berkelanjutan menjadi konsep dasar untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari pemanasan global, salah satu penerapannya pada institusi pendidikan yang sering disebut green campus. Konsep green campus diterapkan agar pelestarian lingkungan tetap menjadi pertimbangan dasar, strategi, maupun program pada kegiatan-kegiatan kampus untuk tujuan menghemat energi, mengurangi biaya perbaikan dan operasional, meningkatkan keamanan dan kesehatan, termasuk mengurangi efek gas rumah kaca. Salah satu pendekatan untuk mewujudkan green campus dengan memberikan ruang yang nyaman kepada transportasi non-motorized. Berjalan kaki merupakan tipe transportasi non-motorized yang paling murah dan rendah emisi maka aksesibilitas terhadap pejalan kaki perlu diprioritaskan. Memberikan ruang lebih untuk pejalan kaki akan mengubah orientasi bagaimana pemanfaatan infrastruktur jalan yang selama ini lebih berpihak kepada kendaraan bermotor. Universitas Diponegoro yang menjadi salah satu pilot project green campus dari Kemenristekdikti, memiliki jalur pejalan kaki yang lengkap, namun kondisi saat ini masih kurang termanfaatkan. Guna mempertahankan orientasi green campus yang sudah ada, perlu dilakukan evaluasi pada jalur pejalan kaki. Metode superimpose digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil irisan-irisan dari pemetaan berbagai indikator yang ditemukan di lapangan dengan hasil kajian penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian pada jalur pejalan kaki di Kampus Undip Tembalang menunjukkan bahwa masih perlu perbaikan dari aspek aksesibilitas, kenyamanan, dan keamanan untuk meningkatkan walkability dan memenuhi aspek green campus.

Sustainable development is a principle concept to reduce the negative impact of global warming, which applied in educational institutions is often called green campuses. The green campus concept is applied so that environmental conservation remains a basic consideration, strategy, and program in campus activities for the purpose of saving energy, reducing repair and operational costs, improving safety and health, including reducing the effects of greenhouse gases. One approach to realizing a green campus is to provide a comfortable space for non-motorized transportation. Walking is the cheapest and lowest emission type of non-motorized transportation, so accessibility to pedestrians needs to be prioritized. Providing more space for pedestrians will change the orientation of how to use road infrastructure which has been more in favor of motorized vehicles. Diponegoro University, which is one of the green campus pilot projects from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, has a complete pedestrian path, but the current condition is still underutilized. In order to maintain the orientation of the existing green campus, it is necessary to evaluate the pedestrian path. The superimposing method is used to analyze the results of the slices from mapping various indicators found in the field with the results of previous research studies. The results of research on pedestrian paths on the Undip Tembalang Campus indicate that there is still a need for improvement in terms of accessibility, comfort, and security to improve walkability and fulfill the green campus aspect.
