Abstract

Latar Belakang : Malaria adalah penyakit akibat infeksi protozoa dari genus Plasmodium dengan spesies falciparum, ovale, malariae, dan vivax yang ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Anopheles betina. Penelitian tentang faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pencegahan malaria.
Tujuan : Membuktikan beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan kejadian malaria
Metode : Penelitian observasional analitik menggunakan desain Cross Sectional dengan jumlah sampel 96 sampel yang diambil secara simple random sampling . Variabel bebas adalah pengetahuan, sikap, sumber informasi, dan peran tokoh masyarakat.. Variabel terikat adalah keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan malaria. Analisa data menggunakan uji chi square.
Hasil : Faktor risiko yang berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan malaria yaitu sumber informasi (OR = 1,423; 95% CI = 0,077– 26.283;). Faktor risiko yang tidak terbukti berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan malaria yaitu: Pengetahuan dan peran serta tokoh masyarakat.
Kesimpulan : faktor risiko yang terbukti berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahan malaria yaitu sumber informasi

Background : Malaria is a disease caused by infection with protozoa of the genus Plasmodium with species falciparum, ovale, malariae, and vivax which is transmitted through the bite of a female Anopheles mosquito. Research on factors that influence community involvement in malaria prevention.
Objective : Proving several factors that influence community involvement in efforts to prevent malaria incidence
Method : This analytic observational study used a cross sectional design with a total sample of 96 samples taken by simple random sampling. The independent variables are knowledge, attitudes, sources of information, and the role of community leaders. The dependent variable is community involvement in malaria prevention efforts. Data analysis using chi square test.
Results: The risk factor that has been proven to affect community involvement in malaria prevention efforts is the source of information (OR = 1,423; 95% CI = 0,077– 26.283;). Risk factors that have not been proven to affect community involvement in malaria prevention efforts are: Knowledge, attitudes, and participation of community leaders.
