Abstract

The merger between Indosat Ooredoo and Hutchison 3 Indonesia brought
significant organizational changes that required effective human resource
management to ensure successful employee selection. This study aims to examine
the influence of job satisfaction and HR integration on selection effectiveness, as
well as the mediating role of organizational commitment among employees of PT
Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH). This research employed a quantitative approach
using primary data collected through questionnaires from 100 employees selected
through purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares
Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.1.1.8.
The results indicate that job satisfaction and HR integration have positive and
significant effects on organizational commitment and selection effectiveness.
Organizational commitment also has a positive and significant effect on selection
effectiveness. Furthermore, organizational commitment significantly mediates the
relationships between job satisfaction and selection effectiveness, as well as
between HR integration and selection effectiveness. These findings emphasize the
importance of strengthening organizational commitment to enhance employee
selection effectiveness and support successful human resource integration in a postmerger organizational environment.
