Abstract
This research thesis discusses about the cultural conflict between American individualism and Balinese collectivism portrayed in Ticket to Paradise (2022) movie directed by Ol Parker. The objective of the research is to analyze the cause of cultural conflict, to analyze the form of cultural conflict, to analyze the impact of the cultural conflict on characters, and to analyze how the cultural conflict is resolved. In order to collect data, the researcher employs library research method. The researcher also employs anthropological approach to analyze this study. The results show that the primary conflict arises from fundamental differences in cultural norms. These cultural conflicts lead to social friction and maladjustment. This research offers insights into the cause, the form, the impact, and the resolution of cultural conflicts between American individualism and Balinese collectivism.
