Abstract

The study analyzes women's rights in Jane Eyre, a novel by Charlotte Brontë, which is regarded as one of the earliest feminism works in the history of English Literature. The study aims to analyze how the main character, Jane Eyre, represents feminist values through her attitudes, actions, and struggles against different social constraints that constrained women's roles during the Victorian society. Utilizing a feminist approach, this research investigates the power of elements, sexual orientation inequality, and women's struggle to achieve independence and identity. The analysis reveals that Jane Eyre embodies an independent woman who dares to voice her opinions and refuses to conform to oppressive patriarchal norms. Through her life journey, Jane not only fights for personal freedom but also advocates for balance within romantic and social relationships. The study concludes that Jane Eyre serves not only as a reflection of resistance against gender injustice but also as a critical commitment to the development of feminist awareness in literature. Therefore, the novel remains relevant for discussion within the context of women's battles to this day. In the study highlights shows how Brontë critiques the limitations put on women, not only in personal relationships but also inside broader societal structures. Through Jane's experiences, Brontë illustrates the significance of self-respect and equality in love, marriage, and social standing. The novel eventually serves as a powerful critique of gender inequality and continues to inspire discussions on women's rights. Th research concludes that Jane Eyre is a significant commitment to feminist literature, offering persevering insights into the challenges and triumphs of women striving for independence and uniformity.
