Abstract

Kandri Tourism Village is a village that an usual housing at first and
later become tourism village caused of its narness to tourism destination
Jatibarang Dam and Goa Kreo. Jatibarang Dam has been built as
Government effort to resolve flood in Semarang, raw water supply, power
plants, and other benefit include tourism. In 2012, The Government confirm
Kandri Village as tourism village. People in Kandri respond it by provide
amenities to the guests. There are people that provide accomodation, home
industry that make traditional culinary, and food stalls. The aim of this
research is to know any transformation happens to houses in Kandri Tourism
Village caused of new tourism destination, Waduk Jatibarang, and to see how
big the influence of tourism with house spatial transformation there. This
research use qualitative method with purposive sample. In this research can
be conclude that the change in people’s activity caused by tourism make
house spatial transformation as the respond with the change itself.
Transformation in one house with another is different because the different of
each motivation to transform the house, kind of activity, and land, and also
fund.
