Abstract
This research thesis analyses Raven Queen as an Introvert-Intuitive-Feeling-Perceptive (INFP) type person in Shannon Hale’s Ever After High: The Storybook of Legends. The aim of this research thesis is to discuss the characteristics, indicators, effects, and development of the INFP personality type in Raven’s character. This research is conducted using the psychological criticism approach. The primary and secondary sources for this research are collected using the library research method. The discussion for the intrinsic elements includes character and characterization, setting, and conflict. The discussion for the extrinsic elements utilizes Isabel Myers’ theory of the sixteen personality types to dissect the signs of the INFP personality type in Raven. The result of this research thesis shows that Raven has the characteristics of the INFP personality type, such as creative and idealistic. Raven shows a preference for introversion, intuition, feeling, and perception, which are the four indicators for an INFP personality type. Raven’s reluctance to seal her future in the Storybook of Legends is one of the effects of having the INFP personality type. Furthermore, Raven’s repressed state is caused by the societal pressure to sign the Storybook. While her good development is indicated by her choice to rebel against the Storybook.
