Abstract

The history of money has undergone a dramatic shift with its digitization. New types of money have emerged as a result of technological advancements. One of them is known as digital money. The financial services system has changed due to the rapid and unstoppable technology that is improving daily and the need to provide clients with more value. As technologies evolve, new problems also emerge due to the rapid progression in the digital world. An electronic wallet is a platform that collects information on payment tools
This research aims to gain a better understanding of the problems arising from technological developments. The focus of this research is the widespread leakage of personal data that occurs in the use of e-wallets. The high number of consumer data leaks is a frequent occurrence in Indonesia due to many factors. Thus, this research uses the normative method to fully understand the regulations used to protect consumers data from being leaked.
