(Diyan Wahyu Prasetya. 26040119130097. Pengaruh Penggunaan
Saponin Dengan Dosis Berbeda Terhadap Laju Pertumbuhan Kepiting Bakau
(Scylla serrata) Skala Laboratorium Suryono dan Sunaryo).
Kepiting bakau (Scylla serrata) merupakan salah satu sumber
keanekaragaman hayati di perairan Indonesia yang menjadi komoditas unggulan
dengan nilai ekonomi dan nilai gizi yang tinggi. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk
menjaga kelangsungan populasi di alam yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan
budidaya, salah satu pilihannya budidaya soft shell crab (kepiting lunak). Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan saponin dengan dosis yang
berbeda terhadap laju pertumbuhan kepiting bakau (S. serrata). Metode penelitian
yang dipergunakan adalah metode ekperimental laboratoris dengan menggunakan
Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Guna mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan
dilakukan alisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata laju pertumbuhan spesifik perlakuan A (Tanpa
saponin) adalah 0,41%/hari, perlakuan B (2 ppm) 0,43%/hari, perlakuan C (4 ppm)
0,48%/hari, perlakuan D (6 ppm) 0,51%/hari. Perlakuan A (Tanpa saponin) tidak
terjadi moulting, perlakuan B (2 ppm) tidak terjadi moulting, perlakuan C (4 ppm)
1 kepiting moulting pada masa pemeliharaan 44 hari, perlakuan D (6 ppm) 2
kepiting moulting pada masa pemeliharaan 38 hari dan 33 hari. Data kualitas
parameter air masih dalam kondisi layak untuk kepiting bakau (S. serrata) hidup.
Hasil sidik ragam (ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan saponin dengan dosis
berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap laju pertumbuhan kepiting
bakau (S.serrata).

with Different Doses on the Growth Rate of Mud Crab (Scylla serrata) in
Laboratory Scale Suryono and Sunaryo).
Mud crab (Scylla serrata) is a source of biodiversity in Indonesian waters
which is a leading commodity with high economic and nutritional value. Efforts are
made to maintain the continuity of populations in nature, namely by carrying out
cultivation activities, one of the choices is soft shell crab cultivation. This study
aims to determine the effect of using different doses of saponins on the growth rate
of mangrove crabs (S. serrata). The research method used was a laboratory
experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). To determine
the differences between treatments, analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out
with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the average specific
growth rate for treatment A (without saponins) was 0.41%/day, treatment B (2 ppm)
0.43%/day, treatment C (4 ppm) 0.48%/day, treatment D (6 ppm) 0 .51%/day.
Treatment A (without saponins) did not moult, treatment B (2 ppm) did not moult,
treatment C (4 ppm) 1 crab moulted during the 44 day maintenance period,
treatment D (6 ppm) 2 crabs molted during the 38 day maintenance period and 33
days. Water quality parameter data is still in suitable condition for living mangrove
crabs (S. serrata). The results of analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the use
of saponins with different doses had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the growth rate
of mangrove crabs (S.serrata).
