This study examines the use of conversational strategies used in speech that contain luck bias in conversations in the drama Unlucky Girl! This research was conducted using the free listening method with the follow-up technique of note-taking. The data analyzed were obtained from the drama Unlucky Girl! episodes 1-3. The stages of analysis start from sorting and collecting data, identifying the form of conversational strategies contained in the conversation, analyzing the form adjacency pairs that explain the occurrence of speech containing luck bias, and finally presenting the analysis results in the form of words (descriptive).
Based on the analysis, it is found that there are 23 data of conversation fragments, 4 data showing the form of aizuchi strategy, 8 data showing the form of filler strategy, 1 data showing the form of topic shifting strategy, 4 data showing the form of rephrasing strategy, and 6 data showing the form of avoidance of decisive expressions strategy. Adjacency pairs that appear in the data have the second part in the form of preferred response and non-preferred response. The preferred response variations found in the data are: question-answer and assessment-agreement. Meanwhile, the dispreferred response variations found are question-silence, assessment-denial, assessment-silence, assessment-question. The amount of data in each variation can be described as follows, 6 data show question-answer pair, 5 data show assessment-agreement pair, 1 data shows question followed by silence, 7 data show assessment-denial, 2 data show assessment-silence, and 2 data show assessment-question.
