This thesis discusses konshugo found on the Japanese news article website Yomiuri Shinbun. This research aims to determine the morphological process of konshugo as well as the classification of konshugo and the meaning contained therein. The data used in this research was obtained from articles on the Yomiuri Shinbun website. The data collection method used is the note-taking method. Data analysis uses the agih method. The results of data analysis are presented using an informal presentation method.
Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that konshugo is formed through the process of affixation, merging, and decapitation, which is formed from the combination of kango-wago totaling 3 data, wago-gairaigo totaling 9 data, and kango-gairaigo totaling 32 data. From this data, there are konshugo that undergo one stage and two stages of word formation. Regarding the meaning found is the lexical meaning or the actual meaning and the results of the data are grouped based on their fields, namely science and technology.
