This study examinesthepersonalityofthecharacterKyuuzoMiyabe in themovie永遠のゼロ (The Eternal Zero) bydirectorTakashiYamazaki. The film 永遠のゼロ (The Eternal Zero) tells a drama story in World War II centeredon a pilot namedKyuuzoMiyabewhoalwayswantstosurvivethebattle. The purposeofthis study istodescribethepersonalityofKyuuzoMiyabe in theformofpersonalitystructureandpersonalitydynamics. Thisresearchis a literature study, using a literarypsychologyapproachand a qualitativeresearchtype. The film narrativetheoryfrom Himawan Pratista'sbookisusedtoexaminethe film narrativewhileSigmundFreud'spersonalitytheoryisusedtoexaminethepersonalitystructureandpersonalitydynamicsofthecharacterKyuuzoMiyabe. At thebeginningofthemovieMiyabe'spersonalityismoredominatedbytheIdpersonalitywhileattheendofthemovieMiyabefollowsthewishesofthe Super ego. ItcanbeseenfromtheendingofthemoviewhereMiyabecommitssuicide.
