Abstract

The Jakarta History Museum, or it can be abbreviated as MSJ, is one of the popular tourist destinations in Jakarta. This museum is better known as Fatahillah Museum because it is located on Taman Fatahillah Street No.1, Pinangsia, Taman Sari District, West Jakarta. It was inaugurated as a museum on 30 March 1974 by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ali Sadikin. This museum displays collections of Jakarta history from prehistoric times to modern times, or this collection is called modern Betawi culture. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, to prevent crowds, according to government advice, museum supervisors limit the number of visitors, staff, and interns to 25% compared to normal days. While for tour guiding activities, carried out online, and moves are made in video form. The research and development method was adapted in this study for getting and processing data. The result of the study is a tour guiding video. This video contains museum information which covers location, history, and collections. The tour guide in this video was delivered in Indonesian, and it is equipped with English subtitles. Indonesian was chosen because this video is made specifically for Indonesians, while English was chosen because it is an international language and it is expected to attract foreign tourists. Based on the result, it is better if the museum management implements this video, such as promoting it on social media, considering that people cannot do outdoor activities during this pandemic. Hopefully, this video can be one alternative to still enjoy the Jakarta History Museum virtually.
