Abstract

Ranggawarsita Museum or also known in Javanese spelling "Ronggowarsito" with full name and title as National Museum of Central Java Ronggowarsito Museum. The form of this museum is a combination of classic style, joglo, with modern construction equipped with auditorium, offices, library, laboratory, warehouse, and garden facilities.
4 main permanent exhibition buildings are containing 4 permanent exhibition rooms: the natural history room, paleontological room, prehistoric cultural history room, and national struggle history room. Through observation, the museum has some translated collections into bilingual language translation despite having the largest museum collections in central Java. The collections would attract foreign tourists to visit and learn knowledge as if the collections are fully translated to the English language in the descriptions for the tourist. The method used in collecting data is observing the collections and descriptions, conservating the collections, and register data of the collections.
This study aims to check the collection descriptions if it is already translated or translated description in Ranggawarsita museum and translate the descriptions into English documents for the museum. The result of this report is that the importance of English documents about the collections either be in the museum display or the warehouse for foreign tourists if the tourist wants to learn more detailed information, the museum would provide copies of English documents such as information data, archives, catalogs to foreign tourists and domestic tourists who want to learn knowledge of collections in the English language.
