Abstract

ABSTRAK
(Novia Dwi Lestari. 26020118130094. Pengaruh Konsorsium Bakteri
kelulushidupan ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus).
ikan lele dumbo (Clarias gariepinus), sehingga pertumbuhan ikan lele dumbo

ABSTRACT
(Novia Dwi Lestari. 26020118130094. The Influence of Probiotic
Candidate Bacterial Consortium In Feed of The Feed Utilization Efficiency,
Growth and Survival of The Dumbo Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) Diana
Chilmawati and Ristiawan Agung Nugroho).
Dumbo catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is one of the economic commodities of
freshwater fisheries which is quite familiar to the people of Indonesia. African
catfish is a well-known commodity because it has several advantages, namely its
ability to tolerate a wide range of environmental parameters, has fast growth and
is resistant to disease. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect and
determine the best probiotic dosage on the efficiency of feed utilization, growth and
survival of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). This research is expected to
provide information regarding the effect of adding probiotics to artificial feed on
the efficiency of feed utilization, growth and survival of African catfish (Clarias
gariepinus), so that the growth of African catfish can increase.
This study used an experimental method, completely randomized design
(CRD) consisting of 3 treatments with 3 replications. The treatments used were
treatment A 105 CFU/mL, treatment B 106 CFU/mL and treatment C 107 CFU/mL
added to commercial feed. The test fish used were African catfish with an average
weight size of 5.01 ± 0.01 gram/head. African catfish were reared in cages with a
size of 80x60x60 cm with a stocking density of 96 fish/cage. Maintenance of African
catfish was carried out for 42 days using the relative feeding rate method.
The results showed that the addition of probiotics in commercial feed had a
significant effect (P<0.05) on TKP, EPP, FCR, and RGR., but had no effect
(P>0.05) on the survival value of the dumbo catfish. Based on these results, the best
dose of probiotic addition was obtained at a dose of 107 CFU/mL (treatment C)
which resulted in a TKP value of 1284.21 ± 2.68 g, EPP of 66.43 ± 2.26%, FCR of
1.49 ± 2.26 g and an RGR value of 4.25 ± 0.04% per day.
