Ikan mas koki merupakan ikan yang memiliki sifat cukup adaptif di lingkungan yang baru sehingga tergolong ikan yang mudah dipelihara. Kualitas dan kuantitas bahan baku untuk pakan harus diperhatikan agar dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan mas koki. Salah satu nutrisi yang dibutuhkan ikan adalah lemak. Lemak dimanfaatkan sebagai sparing effect yaitu pengganti protein sebagai sumber energi. Salah satu bahan yang dapat menjadi pengganti minyak ikan sebagai sumber lemak adalah minyak maggot. Maggot mengandung kandungan nutrisi berupa protein sebesar 42% dan lemak 35% serta memiliki kandungan profil asam lemak linoleat dengan konsentrasi 3,6% - 4,5% dan asam lemak linolenat 0,08%-0,74%. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi minyak maggot dalam pakan buatan terhadap terhadap performa pertumbuhan dan tingkat kelulushidupan ikan mas koki. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diujikan yaitu perlakuan A (substitusi 15% minyak maggot), B (substitusi 20% minyak maggot), C (substitusi 25% minyak maggot), D (substitusi 30% minyak maggot). Ikan uji yang digunakan yaitu ikan mas koki berukuran 8-9 gram dengan padat tebar 10 ekor/wadah. Ikan mas koki dipelihara pada akuarium dengan volume air 80 liter. Pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 42 hari dengan pemberian pakan 3 kali sehari pada pukul 08.00, 12.00, dan 16.00. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substitusi minyak ikan menggunakan minyak maggot berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap SGR, EPP, TKP, FCR, dan bobot mutlak. Dosis terbaik substitusi minyak ikan menggunakan minyak maggot adalah perlakuan D (substutusi 30% minyak ikan menggunakan minyak maggot) yang mampu menghasilkan SGR sebesar 1,04% /hari; EPP sebesar 40,27%; TKP sebesar 114,22 gram, bobot mutlak sebesar 46,00 gram; dan FCR sebesar 2,49.

Goldfish is quite adaptive in a new environment, so it is an easy fish to care for. The quality and quantity of raw materials for feed must be considered in order to increase the growth of goldfish. One of the nutrients needed by fish is fat. Fat is used as a sparing effect; a substitute for protein as an energy source. One ingredient that can replace fish oil as a source of fat is maggot oil. Maggot contains 42% of protein and 35% of fat and contains linoleic fatty acids with a concentration of 3.6% - 4.5% and 0.08% -0.74% linolenic fatty acids. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of substitution of maggot oil in artificial feed on the growth performance and survival rate of goldfish. This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments tested were treatment A (15% maggot oil substitution), B (20% maggot oil substitution), C (25% maggot oil substitution), D (30% maggot oil substitution). The test fish used were goldfish measuring 8-9 grams with a stocking density of 10 fish/container. Goldfish were maintained in an aquarium with a volume of 80 liters of water. Maintenance was carried out for 42 days with feeding 3 times a day at 08.00, 12.00, and 16.00. The results showed that fish oil substitution using maggot oil had a significant effect (P<0.05) on SGR, FUE, TFC, FCR, and absolute weight. The best dose of fish oil substitution using maggot oil is treatment D (substitution of 30% fish oil with maggot oil) which is able to produce an SGR of 1.04% /day; FUEof 40.27%; TFC of 114.22 grams, absolute weight of 46.00 grams; and FCR of 2.49.
