Abstract

(Bregita Berliana. 26030118120019. Analisis Persepsi dan Partisipasi Nelayan Terhadap Kawasan Konservasi Perairan (KKP) Untuk Keberlanjutan Penangkapan Ikan di Wilayah KKP Ujungnegoro, Kabupaten Batang (Bambang Argo Wibowo dan Abdul Kohar Mudzakir).

Kabupaten Batang memiliki Kawasan Konservasi Perairan (KKP) Ujungnegoro. Pembentukan KKP Ujungnegoro dibentuk untuk menjaga sumberdaya perairan yang ada agar tidak dimanfaatkan secara berlebihan. Nelayan sebagai pengguna utama sumberdaya perikanan perlu mengetahui pentingnya menjaga sumberdaya perairan agar tetap memperhatikan keberlanjutan penangkapan ikan di wilayah KKP sehingga dibutuhkanlah persepsi dan partisipasi nelayan terhadap KKP tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik nelayan terhadap KKP Ujungnegoro, menganalisis persepsi dan partisipasi terhadap KKP Ujungnegoro dan menganalisis pengaruh persepsi dan partisipasi nelayan terhadap KKP Ujungnegoro. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September - Oktober 2022 di Kawasan Konservasi Perairan (KKP) Ujungnegoro, Kabupaten Batang, Jawa Tengah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif untuk mengetahui karakteristik nelayan, uji skala likert untuk mengetahui persepsi dan partisipasi dan uji regresi linear untuk mengetahui pengaruh persepsi dan partisipasi nelayan dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dengan kuesioner, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nelayan di wilayah KKP Ujungnegoro termasuk ke dalam usia produktif, tingkat pendidikan nelayan tergolong rendah, yaitu 45% dengan pendidikan Sekolah Dasar (SD) sedangkan sebaran pekerjaan yaitu 89% sebagai pemilik dan sisanya bekerja sebagai ABK, tingkat persepsi nelayan berada pada tingkat sedang (65,13%) terhadap KKP sedangkan tingkat partisipasi nelayan juga berada pada tingkat sedang (61,57%) terhadap KKP. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang erat antara persepsi dan partisipasi nelayan dengan nilai R sebesar 0,15 atau 15,7% sehingga persepsi nelayan berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan partisipasi nelayan untuk mendorong pengelolaan KKP dan sisanya 84,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya.

Batang Regency has Ujungnegoro Marine Protected Area (MPA). The Ujungnegoro MPA was established to protect existing aquatic resources from being overutilized. Fishermen as the main users of fisheries resources need to know the importance of maintaining aquatic resources in order to continue to pay attention to the sustainability of fishing in the MPA area so that fishermen's perceptions and participation in the MPA are needed. This study aims to analyze 1) the characteristics of fishermen towards Ujungnegoro MPA, 2) analyze perceptions and participation in Ujungnegoro MPA and 3) analyze the influence of fishermen's perceptions and participation in Ujungnegoro MPA. The research was conducted from September to October 2022 in Ujungnegoro Marine Protected Area (MPA), Batang Regency, Central Java. The method used in this research is descriptive method to determine the characteristics of fishermen, Likert scale test to determine perception and participation and linear regression test to determine the effect of perception and participation of fishermen with sampling using purposive sampling method. Data collection methods were carried out by observation, interviews with questionnaires, documentation and literature study. The results showed that fishermen in the Ujungnegoro MPA area are of productive age, the education level of fishermen is low, namely 45% with elementary school education (SD) while the distribution of jobs is 89% as owners and the rest work as crew members, the level of fishermen's perceptions is at a moderate (65,13%) towards MPAs while the level of fishermen's participation is at a moderate (61,57%) towards MPAs. It can be concluded that there is a close relationship between the perception and participation of fishermen with an R value of 0.15 or 15,7% so that the perception of fishermen has an effect in increasing the participation of fishermen to encourage the management of MPAs and the remaining 84,3% is influenced by other variables.
