Sungai Pucang Gading terletak di desa Sendangmulyo, kecamatan Tembalang, dan mengalir hingga bendung Pucang Gading. Aliran air memiliki hulu dekat dengan area pertambangan Brown Canyon, sehingga akan mempengaruhi kualitas perairan, khususnya parameter kekeruhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan kualitas perairan sungai Pucang Gading berdasarkan metode NSF-WQI (National Sanitation Foundation – Water Quality Index) dan mengetahui parameter yang paling mempengaruhi kualitas air. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan November-Desember 2023 dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling yang dibagi 3 stasiun. Analisis untuk mengetahui kualitas perairan Sungai Pucang Gading menggunakan metode NSF-WQI. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu Sungai Pucang Gading termasuk kategori sedang, dengan nilai NSF-WQI sebesar 55,1 dan parameter yang paling mempengaruhi adalah Parameter Fisika, variabel Kekeruhan Kata Kunci: Kualitas Air, Kekeruhan, NSF-WQI, Sungai Pucang Gading.

Pucang Gading River is located in Sendangmulyo village, Tembalang subdistrict flows from tembalang village and flows to Pucang Gading weir. Pucang Gading River has its headwaters close to the Brown Canyon mining area, so it will affect water quality, especially turbidity parameters. The purpose of this study was to categorize the quality of Pucang Gading river waters based on the NSF-WQI (National Sanitation Foundation – Water Quality Index) method and know the parameters that most affect water quality. This research will be conducted in November-December 2023. This study used purposive sampling method conducted at 3 stations. Analysis to determine the quality of Pucang Gading River waters using the NSF-WQI method. The results obtained are the Pucang Gading River is included in the medium category, with an NSF-WQI value of 55.1 and the most influencing parameter is the Physical Parameter, wich is the Turbidity variable.
