Efisiensi Pemanfaatan Pakan dan Pertumbuhan Benih Ikan Mas (Cyprinus carpio)

Pakan merupakan faktor penting dalam proses budidaya ikan mas
(Cyprinus carpio). Terdapat banyak sumber bahan baku pakan, salah satunya
adalah sumber nabati. Namun dalam pembuatan pakan yang banyak
menggunakan bahan nabati jenis kacang-kacangan, terdapat permasalahan berupa
berupa asam fitat. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghilangkan asam fitat
adalah dengan penambahan fitase dalam pakan buatan. Keberhasilan budidaya
dapat didukung dengan manajemen pakan berupa frekuensi pemberian pakan yang
baik dan tepat. Hal tersebut dapat mengurangi kemungkinan pakan tidak
termanfaatkan, sehingga dapat mengurangi limbah pakan yang tidak termakan.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji dan menemukan frekuensi pemberian
pakan terhadap pemanfaatan pakan dan pertumbuhan benih ikan mas (C. carpio)
yang diberi pakan dengan penambahan fitase.
Desain penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap 4 perlakuan dengan 3
pengulangan, yakni perlakuan A (frekuensi pemberian pakan satu kali sehari),
perlakuan B (frekuensi pemberian pakan dua kali sehari), perlakuan C (frekuensi
pemberian pakan tiga kali sehari) dan perlakuan D (frekuensi pemberian pakan
empat kali sehari). Ikan uji yang digunakan adalah benih ikan mas (C. carpio)
dengan bobot rerata 1,30±0,12g dan padat tebar 25 ekor/happa ukuran
(50x50x60)

cm. Pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 56 hari. Data yang diambil
meliputi total konsumsi pakan (TKP), efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan (EPP), rasio
konversi pakan (FCR), rasio efisiensi protein (EPP), laju pertumbuhan relative
(RGR), kelulushidupan (SR), dan kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa frekuensi pemberian pakan yang berbeda dengan penambahan enzim fitase
berpengaruh nyata terhadap (P<0,05) TKP, FCR, EPP, PER, dan RGR. Namun
tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap SR. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut perlakuan D
menghasilkan TKP dan RGR sebesar 248,07 g dan 8,68%/hari. Perlakuan B
menghasilkan EPP, PER, dan SR sebesar 65,73%, 2,18%, dan 85,33%. Perlakuan
A menghasilkan FCR sebesar 1,32. Kualitas air pada media pemeliharaan berada
pada kisaran yang sesuai untuk budidaya ikan mas yaitu suhu 24,4-30,4°C,
oksigen terlarut 5,3 - 7,1 mg/L, pH 7,4 – 9,3, dan amonia <0,0064-0,0161 mg/L.
Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa nilai tertinggi untuk variabel EPP dan RGR
terdapat pada frekuensi pemberian pakan dua kali dan empat kali sehari.

Feed is an important factor in the process of farming carp (Cyprinus
carpio). There are many sources of feed raw materials, one of which is vegetable
sources. However, in making feed that uses a lot of legume-type vegetable
ingredients, there is a problem in the form of phytic acid. An effort that can be
made to remove phytic acid is by adding phytase in artificial feed. The success of
aquaculture can be supported by feed management in the form of good and
appropriate feeding frequency. This can reduce the possibility of unused feed, so
as to reduce inedible feed waste. The purpose of this study was to examine and
find the frequency of feeding on feed utilization and growth of carp fry (C. carpio)
fed with the addition of phytase.
This study used an experimental method, completely randomized design
(CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications, ie treatment A (frequency of
feeding once a day), treatment B (frequency of feeding twice a day), treatment C
(frequency of feeding three times a day) and treatment D (frequency of feeding
four times a day). The experimental fish used was common carp (Cyprinus carpio)
with the average individual body weight of 1,30±0,12 g and d with the density of
25 fish/ floating net measuring (50x50x60) cm

. The length of maintenance is 56
days. In this study, the results obtained are total feed consumption, feed
conversion ratio, feed utilization efficiency, protein efficiency ratio, relative
growth rate, survival rate, and water quality. This study showed that different
feeding frequencies significantly affected (P<0,05) on the feed consumption, feed
conversion ratio, feed utilization efficiency, protein efficiency ratio, and relative
growth rate of the trial fish, but not significantly affected (P>0,05) on the survival
rate. Feeding frequency of 4 times a day resulted best FI and RGR ie 248,07 g
and 8,68%. Feeding frequency of 2 times a day resulted best EFU, PER, and SR
ie 65,73%, 2,18%, dan 85,33%. The best result in FCR ie 1,32 were obtained by
feeding frequency 1 times a day. Water quality parameters during the study were
varied among suitable range for rearing the trial fish which is temperature 24,4-
30,4°C, dissolved oxygen 5,3 - 7,1 mg/L, pH 7,4 – 9,3, and ammonia <0,0064-
0,0161 mg/L. The conclusion in this study is that the highest value for EFU and
RGR variables is found in the frequency of feeding twice and four times a day.
