Abstract

Indonesian Railway Museum at Ambarawa is a museum that provides a collection of old locomotives and Ambarawa Station Relics. Within the collection, it contained history and information that are written on the museum labels. As the museum is visited by both local and foreign tourists, it is needed to have bilingual (Indonesian-English) museum labels. In this study, methods used to gathering information about museum labels are observation, document analysis, and interview. The data that has been collected is then to be discussed and studied about its importance for both museum and the visitors. The result of the study is translating labels for museum collection at Indonesian Railway Museum.
