Perairan Sekitar Pelabuhan Perikanan, Kota Tegal, Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

Tegal adalah salah satu daerah di Jawa Tengah yang merupakan daerah yang
banyak memiliki permasalahan terkait sedimentasi. Perpindahan sedimen yang
perlahan mengubah kondisi garis pantai merupakan mekanisme transpor sedimen
yang dipengaruhi langsung oleh gelombang dan arus. Material sedimen yang
terbawa menuju laut dapat mengendap di dasar perairan. Pengendapan sedimen
dipengaruhi oleh beberapa parameter, diantarannya arus maupun pasang surut.
Proses pengendapan yang terjadi secara terus menerus menyebabkan penumpukan
substrat sedimen. Wilayah muara di perairan sekitar Pelabuhan Perikanan Kota
Tegal merupakan daerah yang mengalami sedimentasi tinggi. Muara di sekitar
Pelabuhan Perikanan Kota Tegal juga banyak dilintasi oleh nelayan – nelayan
sekitar. Tingkat sedimentasi yang tinggi ini berpotensi membawa pasokan sedimen
yang masuk ke perairan muara sekitar Pelabuhan Perikanan Kota Tegal sehingga
dapat menyebabkan pendangkalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
pesebaran ukuran butir sedimen di perairan sekitar Pebuhan Perikanan Kota Tegal
serta mengetahui energi dominan yang mempengaruhinya. Pengambilan data
lapangan dilakukan pada tanggal 26-28 Agustus 2020 pada 15 titik stasiun dengan
metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebaran ukuran butir
sedimen memiliki persebaran yang dominan lanau kecuali 2 stasiun yang memiliki
sedimen pasir. Dilakukan juga pengukuran arus dasar laut yang menunjukkan
kecepatan antara 0.1 hingga 21.4 cm/s dengan arah dominan barat – barat laut.
Sementara itu berdasarkan analisis karakteristik ukuran butir diketahui bahwa
energi yang berpengaruh dalam pesebasaran sedimen hanya satu energi, yaitu
antara arus laut dan arus sungai. Selain itu juga terlihat bahwa kondisi oseanografi
pada wilayah tersebut tidak stabil akibat hasil penialaian sortasi yang
memperlihatkan hasil yang jelek.

Sediments and Dominant Energy Based on Granulometric Analysis in Waters
Around Fishing Ports, Tegal City, Central Java Province. (Muhammad Helmi dan

Tegal is one of the areas in Central Java which is an area that has many
problems related to sedimentation. The movement of sediment that slowly changes
the condition of the shoreline is a sediment transport mechanism that is directly
influenced by waves and currents. Sedimentary material that is carried out to sea
can settle on the bottom of the waters. Sediment deposition is influenced by several
parameters, including currents and tides. The deposition process that occurs
continuously causes the build-up of sedimentary substrates. The estuary area in the
waters around the Tegal City Fishing Port is an area that experiences high
sedimentation. The estuary around the Tegal City Fisheries Port is also crossed by
many local fishermen. This high sedimentation rate has the potential to bring a
supply of sediment into the estuary waters around the Tegal City Fisheries Port so
that it can cause siltation. This study aims to determine the grain size distribution
of sediments in the waters around the Tegal City Fishery Plant and to determine
the dominant energy that influences it. Field data collection was carried out on
August, 26-28th 2020 at 15 station points using the purposive sampling method. The
results showed that the grain size distribution of the sediments had a silt dominant
distribution except for 2 stations which had sand sediments. Measurements of
seafloor currents were also carried out which showed speeds between 0.1 to 21.4
cm/s with the dominant direction west - northwest. Meanwhile, based on the
analysis of grain size characteristics, it is known that the energy that influences the
sediment distribution is only one energy, namely between ocean currents and river
currents. In addition, it is also seen that the oceanographic conditions in the area
are unstable due to the results of the sorting analysis which show poorly sorted.
