Ahmad Fauzi. 26010118120010. Analisis Kualitas Air dan Daya Tampung Beban Pencemar Kali Manggis Magelang, Jawa Tengah. (Haeruddin & Pujiono Wahyu Purnomo)

ABSTRACT
Ahmad Fauzi. 26010118120010. Water Quality Analysis and Load Capacity of Manggis River Polluters in Magelang, Central Java. (Haeruddin & Pujiono Wahyu Purnomo)
Manggis River is one of the rivers that pass through Magelang regency and city, which is densely populated. Rivers in urban areas are generally polluted, the cause of which is generally related to land use. Therefore, to maintain the quality of the river requires monitoring of water quality. This research was conducted to
determine the quality of water and the capacity of pollutant loads on the Manggis River. This research was carried out from May 12 to July 29, 2022 at 5 (five) sampling locations along the Manggis River that passes through the City and Regency of Magelang. The method used is the survey method. The results of IP
Analysis for class II showed numbers between 5,770-12,594, class III between 4,811-11,608 and class IV between 4,847-11,628. Manggis River belongs to thecategory of lightly to severely polluted. The variable that most affects the high number of IPs is Total Coliform. The high total coliform in Manggis River is caused
by several factors such as the fact that there are still people carrying out MCK or defecation activities in the Manggis River, as well as the number of residents who have not connected pipes from home latrines to the Communal WWTP that has been
provided by the local government. Pollutants that can still be accommodated by The Manggis River in class II water quality are TSS, in class III water quality are TSS, COD and ammonia, and in class IV water quality are TSS, BOD, COD and ammonia.
