Abstract

The Teaching and Learning Activities Policy was temporarily closed and replaced
with online learning methods from their respective homes over the internet. The
implementation of the online system to students turned out to meet many pros and
cons, especially elementary and high school students. Learning activities in
schools during the Covid-19 pandemic at PGRI Bergas Junior High School using
the curriculum of online and offline (face-to-face) learning methods. The purpose
of this research, is: knowing the interpersonal competence of teachers and
students in the learning process in the era of pandemic covid19; describe the
interpersonal communication of teachers in learning to students during the Covid19

PGRI Bergas junior high school pandemic; know the obstacle factors and
supporting interpersonal communication in learning to students during the Covid19

pgri bergas pandemic. Research methods used qualitative descriptively, this
method understands a phenomenon that occurs and experienced by the research
subject. The authors used purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis by
compiling data that has been obtained from interviews, observations, and
documents. Analysis of student data obeying the teacher's commands obtains
frequent answer options. Students stay away from rigid teachers when delivering
material getting answers sometimes. A harmonious teacher's assessment obtained
the answer option always. Students who are active in answer learning are
sometimes the highest. Students being kind to teachers get often high answers.
Students receive acquired grade learning materials sometimes. The atmosphere in
learning is obtained answer options sometimes. Obstacles in online learning are
obtained answer options sometimes. The teacher's friendliness towards students is
always the answer option. Conclusions in the study, namely: The interpersonal
role of teachers towards students provides motivation to study more vigorously;
Good interpersonal communication in PGRI Bergas Junior High School begins
the delivery of materials combined with interactive learning activities; the
obstacles experienced during the online process are signals and teachers still lack
experience in operating digital technology.
