Abstract

This research aimed to develop a bilingual children's storybook called "The Tales of Wisdom"
for Islamic elementary schools that contains three stories The Three Shepherds, Atha bin Abi
Rabah and Princess Hagia and The butler. This book was expected to be a delightful way to learn
English. Observation, interview instrument validation questions, and student feedback
assessments were the methods used for collecting data. Experts, the English teacher, the fifth- and
sixth-grade homeroom teacher, and the lecturer identified the validation of the final results
through the six steps of the R&D method. The "No revision needed" category of the product
validation test results for bilingual children's storybook content showed a maximum score of
100% and a minimum score of 85%. The "Revision needed" category of the language and
translation validation test received a maximum score of 95% and a minimum score of 50%. A
range of scores was received for the language storybook design in the validation test, with the
"No Revision Needed" category receiving a maximum score of 100% and a minimum score of
87.5%. The final total score found from the questionnaires of the feasibility product was revised
for the bilingual storybook. The results of the trials conducted by fifth- and sixth-graders showed
that this bilingual storybook, "The Tales of Wisdom," received a score of 100%, categorizing it
as a product that can be an enjoyable English learning tool while instilling moral values in young
children. The feasible product of a bilingual storybook was evidenced by the students who were
enthusiastic and interested from the start, saw the cover, and then could read the English text.
