Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of figurative language translations in the
novel 'It Ends with Us' by Colleen Hoover. In Indonesian, ‘Akhir di Antara Kita’
by classifying novels in figurative language based on Tarigan (2012), which states
that figurative language consists of comparison, contrast, repetition, and associative.
The method applied is a qualitative method. This study analyzes the content through
data collection techniques, data reduction, display data, and conclusions. The
results showed that the figurative language in the novel can be identified well, and
the assessment of translation in terms of accuracy, acceptability, and readability is
also good and acceptable in the target language, in accordance with Nababan (2012),
which states that there are three aspects of translation assessment, namely accuracy,
acceptability, and readability.
