Abstract

In the last few decades, the tensions between China and Taiwan have continued to grow significantly
leading to international geopolitical instability. This tension trigger the presence of other countries such as the
United States which clearly supports the existence and sovereignty of Taiwan. A significant threat of war would
exist as a result of the US involvement in the China-Taiwan dispute. This tension has pushed a conflict
escalation. This study aims to explain the nature of the triangle conflict between China, Taiwan, and the US as
well as what would happen next. This study analyzes the country’s behavior and the effects of its foreign policy
and response using a threat perception approach to international politics. The findings show that China’s
behavior highly depends on Taiwan’s behavior and the extent of US intervention in the conflict. China strategic
respon for the increase tension of triangle relation between China-US- Taiwan by Diplomatic action and
military provocation.
