ABSTRAK
Noviansyah Hanifah Surya Tanjung. 26010117140033. Analisa Laju
Sedimentasi di Perairan Sub Daerah Aliran Sungai Garang, Semarang. (Max

ABSTRACT
Noviansyah Hanifah Surya Tanjung. 26010117140033. Analysis Sedimentation
Rate at Sub Sub watershed Garang, Semarang. (Max Rudolf Muskananfola dan
Arif Rahman)
Kreo River and Banjir Kanal Barat are part of the Garang watershed and
act as flood controllers in the city of Semarang. Sedimentation is an important
problem for human life and organisms that live in the waters due to the activities
of the surrounding community that cause the river to experience sedimentation.
The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of sedimentation that occurred
in the waters of the Garang Sub-watershed by using several parameters of river
discharge, Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Sediment Fraction. This research was
carried out in November – December 2020. The study used quantitative methods,
sampling was carried out at 6 points with 2 sampling times at an interval of 14
days. The results showed that the distribution of inorganic sand (sand) was higher
in the Kreo River area (upstream of the Garang Sub-watershed), whereas silt and
clay were higher in the West Flood Canal River area (estuary area). The research
data showed that the sedimentation rate in the first repetition ranged from 0.004
to 0.01 tons/day, while in the second iteration it ranged from 0.009 to 0.417 tons
per day. The relation between the sedimentation rate and the sediment fraction in
the Garang sub-watershed is 55.7%, this effect is due to the difference in the grain
size of the sediment and the speed of deposition. The relation between the
sedimentation rate and the discharge is 79.54%, this influence is the effect of
sedimentation caused by the discharge.
