Abstract

Nisrina Nailus Sa’adah. 26010115120002. Analisis Hubungan Kualitas
Sedimen dengan Keanekaragaman Makrozoobenthos di Perairan Morosari dan
Timbulsloko, Sayung, Demak (Max Rudolf Muskananfola dan Sutrisno
Anggoro)
Perairan Morosari dan Timbulsloko mengalami proses degradasi baik secara
alami atau akibat aktifitas manusia. Proses degradasi ini dapat menurunkan fungsi
lingkungan perairan dan mempengaruhi biota yang ada didalamnya, dalam hal ini
adalah makrozoobenthos. Makrozoobenthos berperan sebagai bioindikator untuk
menduga status kualitas perairan serta berperan juga dalam proses dekomposisi
dan mineralisasi bahan organik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui
karakteristik jenis sedimen, keanekaragaman makrozoobenthos, dan hubungan
antara kualitas sedimen dengan makrozoobenthos. Penelitian ini menggunakan
metode studi kasus dengan analisis deskriptif yang dilaksanakan pada bulan
Desember 2019. Penentuan lokasi sampling menggunakan metode purposive
sampling di perairan Morosari dan Timbulsloko dengan total 8 stasiun. Sampel
yang diambil adalah sedimen dan makrozoobenthos. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik jenis sedimen di perairan Morosari dan
Timbulsloko didominasi oleh fraksi liat. Keanekaragaman makrozoobenthos di
kedua perairan termasuk dalam kategori keanekaragaman rendah dengan nilai
berkisar antara 0 – 0,347 di perairan Morosari dan 0,207 – 0,367 di perairan
Timbulsloko. Jenis makrozoobenthos yang ditemukan dikelompokkan dalam 2
kelas yaitu: Gastropoda (Cerithidea cingulata, Cerithidea quadrata, Terebralia
palustris, Turitella terebra), Bivalvia (Metrix sp, Donax sp, Perna viridis,
Codakia sp). Hubungan kualitas sedimen dengan melihat kandungan bahan
organik dengan makrozoobenthos di perairan Morosari memliki hubungan yang
erat, dan di Timbulsloko memiliki hubungan yang cukup erat.

Sediment with Macrozoobenthos Diversity in the Waters of Morosari and
Timbulsloko (Max Rudolf Muskananfola and Sutrisno Anggoro)
Morosari and Timbulsloko waters are degraded, either naturally or by human
activities. The degradation process can reduce the function of the aquatic and
affect the biota that lives at the bottom of waters, in this case macrozoobenthos.
Macrozoobenthos acts as a bioindicator to estimate the status of water quality
and also plays a role in the process of decomposition and mineralization of
organic matter. The purpose of this research was to determine the characteristics
of sediment, the diversity of macrozoobenthos, and the relationship between
sediment quality and macrozoobenthos. This research used a case study method
with descriptive analysis in December 2019. The decision of the sampling location
used purposive sampling method at Morosari and Timbulsloko with a total of 8
stations. The samples taken were sediment and macrozoobenthos. The result of
this research showed that the characteristics of sediment types in two waters were
dominated by the clay fraction. The diversity of macrozoobenthos for both waters
was included in the low diversity with value ranging from 0 – 0,347 at Morosari
waters and 0,207 – 0,367 at Timbulsloko waters. Macrozoobenthos found in two
classes are: Gastropods (Cerithidea cingulata, Cerithidea quadrata, Terebralia
palustris, and Turitella terebra), Bivalve (Metrix sp, Donax sp, Perna viridis,
Codakia sp). The relationship between sediment quality based on organic matter
content with macrozoobenthos in Morosari has a strong relationship, and in
Timbulsloko has a fairly strong relationship.
