ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DOUTOKU KYOUIKU: A CASE STUDY OF
WATASHITACHI NO DOUTOKU". Thesis. Japanese Language and Culture,
Diponegoro University, Semarang. Supervisor Arsi Widiandari, S.S., M.Si.
The purpose of this study is to find out and express an overview of the
concept of omoiyari in Japanese Elementary School doutoku kyouiku, especially in
watashitachi no doutoku textbooks and analyze the learning methods carried out as
an example of its application.
The research method used in the preparation of this thesis is a literature
study sourced from books, articles, and news. The author describes the concept of
omoiyari in Japanese Elementary School doutoku kyouiku in watashitachi no
doutoku textbooks published by the Japanese Ministry of Education.
In this study, the implementation of doutoku kyouiku in 2014 was one of the
steps taken by the Japanese government in response to the high number of reported
cases of bullying at various school levels, especially in Elementary School. The
omoiyari value contained in the watashitachi no doutoku textbook aims to improve
student’s morality. In brief, the concept of omoiyari is seen in the role of doutoku
kyouiku in responding to bullying in elementary schools through watashitachi no
doutoku textbooks.
