Abstract

Hutan Penggaron yang merupakan daerah tangkapan air bagi aliran sungai Babon telah mengalami penurunan kualitas lingkungan hidup. Hutan Penggaron adalah salah satu sistem penyangga kehidupan bagi Kota Semarang yang merupakan hilir DAS Babon. Untuk itu kelestarian Hutan Penggaron harus diperhatikan dan diupayakan keberlanjutannya secara optimal melalui pengelolaan hutan yang lestari dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menganalisis status keberlanjutan pengelolaan Hutan Penggaron dari dimensi ekologi, ekonomi, dan sosial, dan 2) mengidentifikasi atribut sensitif dari setiap dimensi yang sangat mempengaruhi status keberlanjutan pengelolaan Hutan Penggaron. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kawasan Hutan Penggaron, secara khusus difokuskan pada Kawasan Laboratorium Lapangan C-Greinde MIL Undip yang berada di dalam KHDTK Wanadipa Undip dan berbatasan dengan tempat tinggal masyarakat penggarap lahan di kawasan hutan. Penilaian status keberlanjutan dilakukan menggunakan software Rapid Appraisal Analysis for Private Forest (Rap-Pforest) dengan metode analisis Multidimensional Scalling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan status keberlanjutan pengelolaan Hutan Penggaron dari dimensi ekologi termasuk dalam kategori status cukup berkelanjutan, dari dimensi ekonomi dan sosial termasuk dalam kategori kurang berkelanjutan. Terdapat sebelas (11) atribut dari ketiga dimensi yang memberikan pengaruh sensitif terhadap status keberlanjutan. Disarankan dalam penyusunan strategi atau skenario kebijakan peningkatan status keberlanjutan harus memperhatikan atribut sensitif agar upaya yang dilakukan lebih efektif dan optimal.

Penggaron Forest which is a water catchment area for the Babon River flow has experienced a decline in environmental quality. Penggaron Forest is one of the life support systems for the City of Semarang which is downstream of the Babon Watershed. For this reason, the conservation of the Penggaron Forest must be considered and efforted for its optimal sustainability through sustainable forest management. This study aims to 1) analyze the sustainability status of Penggaron Forest management from ecological, economic, and social dimensions, and 2) identify sensitive attributes from each dimension that greatly affect the sustainability status of Penggaron Forest. The research was carried out in the Penggaron forest area, specifically aimed at the C-Greinde Field Laboratory Area MIL Undip which is within the KHDTK Wanadipa Undip and bordered by the residence of the cultivating community land in the forest area. The assessment of sustainable status is carried out using the Rapid Appraisal Analysis for Private Forest (Rap-Pforest) software with the Multidimensional Scaling analysis method. The results showed that the sustainability status of Penggaron Forest Management from the ecological dimension was included in the moderately sustainable, although from the economic and social dimensions was included in the less sustainable. There are eleven (11) attributes from the third dimension which give a sensitive effect on sustainable status. It is suggested that in formulating a strategy or policy scenario, increasing implementation status is necessary paying attention to the sensitive attribute so that the efforts made are more effective and optimal.
