Abstract

RINGKASAN
Rachellia Rose Nugraha., 260 401 181 200 59. Hubungan Kerapatan Mangrove
dengan Kelimpahan Kepiting di Ekosistem Hutan Mangrove Kecamatan Tayu,
Kabupaten Pati (Sunaryo dan Sri Redjeki)
Ekosistem mangrove merupakan suatu ekosistem yang memiliki peran penting bagi
kelangsungan hidup makhluk hidup. Ekosistem mangrove dapat dimanfaatkan oleh
beberapa biota sebagai tempat untuk mencari makan, sebagai tempat memijah dan area
asuhan. Kepiting merupakan salah satu jenis Krustasea yang dapat ditemukan pada
lingkungan air tawar, air payau dan air laut. Sebagian besar kepiting dapat hidup di
perairan payau terutama di ekosistem mangrove. Penelitian mengenai kerapatan
mangrove dan hubungannya dengan kelimpahan kepiting perlu dilakukan dengan
tujuan untuk mengetahui kerapatan mangrove di hutan mangrove Kecamatan Tayu,
Kabupaten Pati, mengetahui jenis dan kelimpahan kepiting pada ekosistem mangrove
dan mengetahui hubungan kerapatan mangrove dengan kelimpahan kepiting. Metode
yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Beberapa data yang
diperlukan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu kerapatan mangrove, kelimpahan kepiting dan
data parameter lingkungan, seperti: suhu, pH, salinitas dan kandungan nitrat, fosfat
pada substrat. Pengolahan data kerapatan mangrove dan kelimpahan kepiting serta
analisis untuk mencari hasil korelasi menggunakan metode regresi linear sederhana
dengan bantuan perangkat lunak berupa Microsoft Excel. Hasil yang didapatkan, yaitu
kerapatan mangrove paling tinggi berada pada Stasiun IV sebesar 7.734 ind/ha,
kelimpahan kepiting tertinggi berada pada Stasiun I sebesar 2.267 ind/ha dan koefisien
korelasi yang didapatkan sebesar -0,05 sesuai dengan pola persamaan regresi linier y =
-0,0164x + 2020,1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa
hubungan kerapatan mangrove dengan kelimpahan kepiting di ekosistem hutan
mangrove Kecamatan Tayu, Kabupaten Pati mempunyai pola korelasi sesuai dengan
persamaan garis regresi linear negatif dan tergolong sangat lemah. Secara umum
parameter kualitas perairan (suhu, pH, salinitas) dan kandungan nitrat, fosfat dalam
substrat dinyatakan sesuai dan baik untuk mendukung kehidupan mangrove dan
kepiting.

Crab Abundance in Mangrove Ecosystem of Tayu District, Pati Regency (Sunaryo dan
Sri Redjeki)
Mangrove ecosystem is an ecosystem that has an important role for the survival of
living organisms. Mangrove ecosystems can be used by some biota as a feeding,
spawning and nursery ground. Crab is one type of crustacean that can be found in
freshwater environments, brackish water and sea water. Most crabs can live in
brackish waters, especially in mangrove ecosystems Research on mangrove density
and its relationship with the abundance of crabs needs to be done with the aim to the
density of mangroves in the Mangrove Forest District Tayu, Pati Regency, determine
the type and abundance of crabs in the mangrove ecosystem and determine the
relationship of mangrove density with the abundance of crabs. This study used the
survey method. Some of the data needed in this study were the mangrove density,
abundance of crabs and data on environmental parameters such as temperature, pH,
salinity and nitrate, phosphate content in the substrate. Mangrove density and crab
abundance data processing and analysis to find correlation results used simple linear
regression method with the help of software such as Microsoft Excel. The results
obtained were the highest density of mangroves at Station IV at 7,734 ind / ha, the
highest abundance of crabs at Station I at 2,267 ind/ha, and the correlation coefficient
obtained at -0.05 in accordance with the linear regression equation pattern y = -
0,1627x + 5614,5. From the results of the study it could be concluded that the
relationship between the density of mangrove and the abundance of crabs in the
mangrove ecosystem of Tayu District, Pati Regency has a correlation pattern in
accordance with the equation of negative linear regression line and is classified as
very weak. In general, water quality parameters (temperature, pH, salinity) and
nitrate, phosphate content in the substrate were stated to be suitable and good for
supporting mangrove and crab life.
