Abstract

A research on the effect of eluent to remove template and soaking time on the performance
of imprinted ionic polymer (IIP) Fe has been carried out. The eluents were HCl, HNO3, and EDTA.
The best eluent was used to determine the adsorption selectivity of IIP to Fe (III) compared to Cd
(II), Cr (III) and Pb (II). The results showed that the more successful of template removal the better
performance of IIP Fe. Removal of Fe(III) was optimum using HNO3
1M as eluent for 24 hours.
Selectivity of IIP towards Cd(II) is better than Cr (III) nor to Pb (II).
