Abstract

Rubber is one of the plantation products, which is a
superior commodity at PTPN IX Kebun Balong. Rubber
production continues to fluctuate, and production targets
are often not achieved. Tappers are one of the factors that
influence rubber production. Premiums are given to
increase the motivation of tappers; it is expected to affect
performance. The research aims to analyze the premium
system, the performance of tappers, and the influence of
premiums on the performance of tappers. The research
was conducted at the Ngandong Afdeling PTPN IX Kebun
Balong in November - December 2022. The research
method used was the case study method, with a total of
59 tappers. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis and
multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the
study show that the premium system given to tappers is
basis premium, quality premium and attendance
premium. The performance of tappers in Ngandong
Afdeling PTPN IX Kebun Balong is included in the low
category, with an average performance of 1.47 kg/hour.
The base premium and quality premium partially
influence the performance of tappers. As much as 51.4%
of tappers' performance is influenced by the premium,
while other factors outside the research influence the rest.
