Abstract

Museum Wayang Jakarta is one of the famous tourism objects located in the downtown area of
Kota Tua Jakarta. This tourism object is visited by a lot of foreign tourists, thus providing facilities using
English language is important to ease the foreign tourist such as English display object label. English
display object label give the description of all the collections in tourism object. This study focuses on
designing English display object label with the aims to designing English display object label for each
collection at Museum Wayang Jakarta and exploring their opinion about English display object label that
already designed. The method of data collection used in this study were observation and library research.
The result of this study is designing 83 labels that divided into 6 rooms for Museum Wayang Jakarta’s
collection, and getting positive opinion about English display object label that already accepted by expert.
Hopefully it can help the foreign tourists for knowing more about the collection at Museum Wayang Jakarta.
