Abstract

RINGKASAN
Millenia Dinda Alkautsar. 260 401 181 200 28. 2022. Hubungan Tekstur
Sedimen dan Kandungan Bahan Organik di Perairan Morodemak, Kabupaten
Demak. (Chrisna Adhi Suryono dan Ibnu Pratikto)
Aktivitas pelabuhan dan Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI), jalur lintas perahu
nelayan hingga pembuangan limbah domestik maupun industri di Perairan
Morodemak dapat menyebabkan perubahan sebaran ukuran butir dan kandungan
bahan organik. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui jenis dan klasifikasi
sedimen serta jumlah kandungan bahan organik yang terdapat dalam sedimen pasir
di Perairan Morodemak, Demak. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif
kuantitatif. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini yaitu pengambilan data primer
berupa sampel sedimen menggunakan sediment core dan data sekunder berupa
baku mutu parameter lingkungan dari KemenLH no.51 tahun 2004. Terdapat tiga
stasiun dalam pengambilan sampel yang ditentukan secara purposive dan setiap
stasiun terdapat 3 titik dengan perbedaan kedalaman 0 cm dan 30 cm dalam
pengambilan sampel. Pengujian fraksi sedimen menggunakan metode pengayakan
dan pemipetan dan uji bahan organik menggunakan metode pengabuan. Hasil data
laboratorium dianalisis menggunakan program Microsoft Excel dan SPSS. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di perairan Morodemak, Demak memiliki jenis
sedimen pasir (sand) dimana nilai ukuran butir tersebut adalah 97% - 99% yang
mana tergolong kasar. Kandungan bahan organik yang terdapat di perairan
Morodemak memiliki konsentrasi sebesar 2,72 - 7,56% yang termasuk dalam
kriteria sangat rendah – rendah. Hubungan sedimen dengan bahan organik yang
terdapat dalam partikel pasir memiliki korelasi positif (+) yang terbilang besar
dengan nilai fraksi sebesar 58,8%. Hal tersebut berarti terdapat hubungan antara
partikel sedimen (pasir, lumpur dan liat) dengan bahan organik menunjukkan
bahwa fraksi lumpur memilki keeratan dengan bahan organik. Kandungan bahan
organik berkaitan dengan ukuran butir sedimen. Semakin halus sedimen, maka akan
semakin besar kemampuan butiran sedimen tersebut dalam mengikat bahan
organik.

Port activities and Fish Auction Sites, fishing boat crossing routes to
domestic and industrial waste disposal in Morodemak Waters can cause changes
in the distribution of grain sizes and organic matter content. The purpose of the
study was to determine the type and classification of sediments and the amount of
organic matter content contained in sand sediments in Morodemak Waters, Demak.
This research method is descriptive quantitative. Data collection in this study is the
collection of primary data in the form of sediment samples using sediment cores
and secondary data in the form of quality standards for environmental parameters
from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry no.51 of 2004. There are three
stations in purposively determined sampling and each station has 3 points with a
depth difference of 0 cm and 30 cm in sampling. Testing of sediment fractions using
sieving and pipetting methods and testing of organic matter using the method of
enslavement. The results of laboratory data are analyzed using Microsoft Excel and
SPSS programs. The results showed that in Morodemak waters, Demak has a type
of sand sediment (sand) where the value of the grain size is 97% - 99% which is
classified as coarse. The content of organic matter contained in Morodemak waters
has a concentration of 2.72 - 7.56% which is included in the criteria of being very
low- low. The relationship of sediment to organic matter contained in sand particles
has a fairly large positive correlation (+) with a fraction value of 58.8%. This
means that there is a relationship between sediment particles (sand, mud and clay)
and organic matter indicating that the sludge fraction has a concentration with
organic matter. The content of organic matter is related to the grain size of the
sediment. The finer the sediment, the greater the ability of the sediment granules to
bind organic matter.
