Abstract

RINGKASAN
KOK ADI PURNOMO, 26020117120013. Pengaruh Triptopan dalam Pakan
terhadap Efisiensi Pemanfaatan Pakan dan Performa Pertumbuhan Benih Ikan
Baung (Mystus Nemurus). (Suminto dan Diana Rachmawati).
Ikan baung (Mystus nemurus) merupakan komoditas ikan air tawar berpotensi
untuk dikembangkan sebagai ikan budidaya. Salah satu kendala yang dialami dalam
kegiatan budidaya ikan baung adalah kemampuan dalam pemanfaatan pakan yang
belum maksimal. Triptofan adalah asam amino essensial penghasil serotonin yang
berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintesis protein,mempengaruhi perilaku
kultivan dan asupan makanan serta merangsang sekresi hormon pertumbuhan.
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh triptopan terhadap efisiensi
pemanfaatan pakan dan pertumbuhan benih ikan baung. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan
pada tanggal 21 Juni – 21 Agustus 2021 di Balai Benih Ikan Ngrajek, Magelang.
Materi yang digunakan dalam peneitian ini berupa ikan baung dengan berat ratarata 54,58±5,45 gr. Pakan yang digunakan berupa pakan komersil kemudian
ditambahkan triptopan dan CMC 1% sebagai binder dan dilakukan repelleting.
Wadah yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakankaramba dengan luas 1x1 m
yang tertancap pada kolam dan ketinggian air berkisar 50 cm. Metode yang
digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental, rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri
atas 6 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah perlakuan
A, B, C, D, E, dan F masing-masing dengan penambahan triptofan sebesar 0 gr/kg,
0,85 gr/kg, 1,7 gr/kg, 2,55 /kg, 3,4 g/kg,dan 4,25 gr/kg pakan. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa penambahan asam amino triptofan berpengaruh nyata
(P<0,05) terhadap TKP, EPP, FCR, PER, dan RGR, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata
terhadap kelulushidupan. Dosis optimum dari penambahan triptofan sebesar 3,1
gr/kg menghasilkan TKP (748,92gram) danFCR (1,8), dosis optimum 3,2 gr/kg
menghasilkan EPP (58,6%), dosis optimum 3,5 gr/kg menghasilkan PER (1,73),
dan dosis optimum 2,96 gr/kg pakan mampu menghasilkan RGR (1,84%hari).

Baung fish (Mystus nemurus) is a freshwater fish commodity with the
potential to be developed as a farmed fish. One of the obstacles experienced in
baung fish farming activities is the ability to use feed that has not been maximized.
Tryptophan is an essential amino acid producing serotonin that contributes to the
growth and synthesis of proteins, affects cultivan behavior and food intake and
stimulates the secretion of growth hormone. The purpose of the study was to
determine the effect of tryptopan on the efficiency of feed utilization and growth of
baung fish fry. This activity was held on June 21 – August 21, 2021at the Ngrajek
Fish Fry Hall, Magelang. The material used in this research is inthe form of
baung fish with an average weight of 54.58±5.45 gr. The feed used in the form of
commercial feed is then added triptopan and CMC 1% as a binder and a zipper is
carried out. The container used in the study used karamba with an area of 1x1 m
which was stuck in the pond and the water level was around 50 cm. The method
used is an experimental method, a complete randomized design (RAL) consisting
of 6 treatments and 3 tests. The treatments applied were treatments A, B, C, D, E,
and F respectively with the addition of tryptophan of 0 gr/kg, 0.85 gr/kg, 1.7 gr/kg,
2.55/kg, 3.4 g/kg, and 4.25 gr/kg of feed. The results showed that the addition of
the amino acid tryptophan had a real effect (P<0.05) on crime scenes, EPP, FCR,
PER, and RGR, but did not have a real effect on dilution. The optimum dose of
tryptophan addition of 3.1 gr/kg resulted in crime scene (748.92grams) and FCR
(1.8), an optimum dose of 3.2 gr/kg produced EPP(58.6%), an optimum dose of 3.5
gr/kg produced PER (1.73), and an optimum dose of 2.96 gr/kg of feed was able to
produce RGR (1.84% day).
