Abstract

Hildan Ibnu Roudhoh Al Baihaqi. 26010118120019. Dampak Limbah
Domestik Pembersihan Ikan Terhadap Kualitas Air di Kanal Kali Banger,
Semarang. Pujiono Wahyu Purnomo dan Norma Afiati.
Kanal Kali Banger terletak di Kaligawe, Kecamatan Semarang Timur.
Permasalahan di Kanal ini yaitu adanya pembuangan limbah pembersihan ikan
yang berasal dari Pasar Waru dan limbah domestik dibuang secara langsung ke
Kanal Kali Banger sehingga menyebabkan kualitas air menjadi tercemar. Tujuan
penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan status pencemaran air Kanal Kali
Banger sebelum dan sesudah melewati Pasar Waru, mengevaluasi kapasitas beban
pencemaran, dan mengidentifikasi segmen air yang masuk di Kanal tersebut.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari – Maret 2022 di Kanal Kali
Banger, Kota Semarang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada empat stasiun
dengan dua kali pengulangan. Stasiun ke-1 dan ke-2 merupakan segmen yang
terletak sebelum Pasar Waru dengan kondisi belum atau sedikit terjadi
pencemaran, sedangkan stasiun ke-3 dan ke-4 merupakan segmen yang terletak
setelah Pasar Waru dengan kondisi telah menerima limbah ikan dan limbah
domestik. Pengukuran variabel secara in situ meliputi: pH, salinitas, DO
(Dissolved Oxygen), temperatur, kecepatan arus, kedalaman dan debit air.
Pengukuran variabel secara ex situ di Laboratorium Teknik Lingkungan
Universitas Diponegoro meliputi: BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) dan COD
(Chemical Oxygen Demand). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan angka Indeks
Pencemaran tertinggi terjadi di stasiun ke-3 sebesar 1,24 kategori tercemar ringan
dan Indeks Pencemaran terendah terjadi di stasiun ke-1 sebesar 0,94 kategori baik,
sedangkan beban pencemaran tertinggi terjadi di stasiun ke -2 sebesar 6089,83
kg/hari dan beban pencemaran terendah terjadi di stasiun ke-1 sebesar 559,58
kg/hari.

Kali Banger Canal is located in Kaligawe, East Semarang District. The problem
in this canal is the disposal of fish washing waste from Waru Market and domestic
waste being dumped directly into the Kali Banger Canal, causing the quality of
water to be polluted. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in
the status of water pollution in the Kali Banger Canal before and after passing
through Waru Market, to evaluate the load capacity of the pollution, and to
identify the segment of water entering the Kali Banger Canal. This study was
conducted during February – March 2022 at the Kali Banger Canal, Semarang
City. Sampling was carried out at four stations with two repetitions. Stations 1
and 2 are segments located before Waru Market with no or little pollution
conditions, while stations 3 and 4 are segments located after Waru Market with
conditions that have received fish waste and domestic waste. In situ variable
measurements include variables: pH, salinity, DO (Dissolved Oxygen), water
temperature, current velocity, depth, water discharge. Ex situ variable
measurements at the Diponegoro University, Laboratory of Environmental
Engineering consist of: BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) and COD (Chemical
Oxygen Demand). The results indicate that the highest Pollution Index occurs at
station 3 of 1.24 with a lightly polluted category and the lowest Pollution Index
occurs at station 1 of 0.94 with a good category, while the highest pollution load
occurs at station 2 i.e., 6089,83 kg/ days and the lowest pollution load occurred at
station 1 i.e., 559,58 kg/day.
