Wates Kabupaten, Rembang. (Haeruddin dan Siti Rudiyanti).
Pantai Wates merupakan salah satu pantai yang ada di Kabupaten Rembang
yang menyuguhkan keindahan pantai pasir putih dan pohon cemara laut. Kawasan
sekitar Pantai Wates digunakan sebagai tempat wisata, tambak, pemukiman dan
industri perikanan. Limbah industri perikanan yang dihasilkan langsung dialirkan
ke badan air Pantai Wates mengakibatkan adanya penurunan kualitas perairan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui konsentrasi TSS, BOD, COD, Amonia, minyak
dan lemak yang digunakan sebagai variabel penilaian status pencemaran air di
Pantai Wates berdasarkan PP Nomor 22 Tahun 2021. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada
bulan Februari 2022 menggunakan metode studi kasus. Sampel air diambil dari 3
stasiun dengan 2 kali pengulangan. Kualitas air yang diukur secara in situ meliputi
kedalaman, pH, DO, suhu, salinitas, arah dan kecepatan arus. Pengukuran ex situ
meliputi TSS, BOD, COD, Amonia, minyak dan lemak dengan pengujian di
laboratorium Teknik Lingkungan, Universitas Diponegoro. Hasil penelitian
kualitas air menunjukkan semua variabel melebihi baku mutu air laut untuk wisata
bahari, sedangkan peruntukan biota laut semua variabel melebihi baku mutu kecuali
variabel amonia masih memenuhi baku mutu untuk biota laut. Indeks Pencemaran
pada sampling ke-1 sebesar 7,17 dan sampling ke-2 sebesar 8,67. Nilai tersebut
menunjukkan bahwa perairan Pantai Wates tergolong tercemar sedang saat pasang
purnama dan pasang perbani. Hasil analisis rasio BOD/COD menunjukkan bahan
pencemar bersifat biodegradable dengan nilai rasio BOD/COD pada sampling ke-1 dan sampling ke-2 sebesar 0,31.

Beach, Rembang. (Haeruddin dan Siti Rudiyanti).
Wates Beach is one beaches in the Rembang Regency which presents the
beauty of white sand and sea pine trees. The Beach is also used for tourist
attraction, industrial village, fishpond as well as fishery. The fishery industry
discharge directly goes to the Wates Beach area which decreasing water quality.
This research aims to know the TSS, BOD, COD, Amonia, oil and fat as assessment
variables in analyzing water pollution status in the Wates Beach based on the
Government Regulation Number 22 of 2021. The research was held in February
2022 with a case study method. The water sample was taken from 3 stations with 2
repetitions. The water’s qualities that measured with in situ including the depth of
water, pH, DO, temperature, salinity, the flow’s speed and direction, while the ex
situ measurements include TSS, BOD, COD, Ammonia, oil and fat by testing in the
Environmental Engineering’s laboratories of Universitas Diponegoro. The result
of this study shows that all variables surpass the sea water’s quality standard for
marine tourism. For the marine life, all variables also surpass the quality standard
except the Amonia which still meets the quality standard for marine life. The
pollution index in sample-1 is 7,17 while in sample-2 is 8,67. The score shows that
the Wates Beach was considered polluted when spring tide and neap tide. The result
of the BOD/COD ratio showed that the pollutant was biodegradable with the ratio
value in the first sampling and second sampling was 0,31.
